WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE?

You know that when we buy manufactured

materials, we produce lots of waste.

We also take many natural resources to make these

manufactured materials.These natural resources will eventually

run out!

So that is so important to follow three simple rules…

What can we do to REDUCE?

1. Buy products with no or little

packaging.

2. Put the packaging in the correct

recycling bin

What can we do to REUSE?

Reuse means to use materials again and again. We can reuse:

What can we do to RECYCLE?

Recycle means to make something new from

something we have used.

Page 8: The three rs

We can recycle paper and cardboard, so we don’t have to cut too many trees.

Page 9: The three rs

We can also recycle tyres. This way, we won’t cut out too many trees.

We can recycle glass bottles to make new ones.

We can recycle electrical appliances, cars, metals, etc. so we won’t need to waste more natural materials.

Remember not to throw plastic bags

to the seas or oceans. They look

like jellyfish and plastic is really

dangerous for me!
