The original Flin Flon Main (FF) and “777” deposits are shown. They occur within the felsic rhyolite mine horizon (yellow, Millrock member). The FF main deposit was exposed at surface whereas the 777 deposit is located down dip beneath the mafic volcanics. The town of Flin Flon lies immediately above the mine site (roads are shown). The location of the 1991 Lilthoprobe lines (5 and 9) are also shown. Green=mafic volcanics Yellow=rhyolites Grey=Missi metasedimentary rocks (sandstones, conglomerates); volcanics are older (~1900) than the Missi (~1840), and form depositional basement to the Missi.
