Volum e 2 The Tears of Calvary

    by Ernest An gley

I will always rejoice for that night I received salvation, the night

the power in the divine tears of Calvary flowed into my life. I

went down the aisle of a little church, a lost teenager fighting God,

knowing God would let me die and go to hell if I didn't give my

heart to Him. I forced myself to go to the altar for salvation; but

to my amazement, at the altar I met the Master who filled me with

unbelievable joy. He reached over, took that great weight of sin

from me, laid it aside; and then He reached over, took the burden

for the whole lost world and put it on my shoulders. From that

time on, I had profound compassion for the lost; but I didn't

identify that compassion as the tears of Calvary, didn't realize that

was what He had given me. I just knew I was possessed with

God's love, compassion and yearning to win the lost. I knew that with every breath I took I must

get closer and closer to God, to have more and more of Him that I might help others be delivered

and set free from sin. Oh, how that divine cry moved within me day and night! Tears for the lost.

In the beginning of my ministry, in the very early days before I received any of the gifts of God for

healing, I gave the altar call mainly for salvation in my revival services. (However, in a revival, I

would always have one healing service.) I seldom left the building until the last person seeking

salvation had gone away from the altar. Oh, God, this man must find you tonight! This boy, thisgirl, this woman must find you! I told my wife, Angel: There's no need to get them to the altar

when no one comes to help them. Sometimes the saints of God would stand around laughing and

talking, unconcerned about the souls of the lost. No matter how tired I was, I would help those at

the altar. I remember a school teacher once telling me that I took things too seriously. How could

anyone be too serious about souls? I wondered.

The tears of Calvary's compassion for the lost was the reason I could pray so many through to

salvation, why God gave us so many souls. Angel cried those tears, too. No matter what happened

in the services, we were not satisfied if the lost didn't come to Jesus; we had to have the lost.

Shortly after Angel and I had been married, I became afflicted with an ulcerated stomach and

complications. We watched my body go down to almost a skeleton. My condition continued to

worsen, and I knew I was going to die unless God intervened. I cried out to God, but the tearsrolling down my cheeks, my suffering, didn't seem to be reaching Him. I was without

understanding. He had called me to preach when I was eighteengifted me with preaching. I

thought my faith had gone, and hope of living much longer was fading fast. Without a doubt I was

    going to die.

So very ill, I stood in His presencein the very presence of the Almightywith a heart pure and

clean. I examined my soul with His Holy Word and could find nothing against it in my life. I had

lived free from sin every day, every minute since my salvation. God brought no accusation against

me. Knowing God hadn't moved for my healing even though no sin tainted my life, put me into

dungeons of despair. Why would He want me to die so young? There didn't seem to be any

answer, but inside of me were those tears I didn't understand, the tears of Calvary reaching out to

the Lord to bring healing to me.

Then one night Jesus came. He came with the tears, the suffering of Calvary, andwith h is stripes

I was healed. His power shot into me, and I lost all control. He healed me and then lingered to

talk, to tell me that later I would go on a long fast, and when I came out of that fast I would haveHis power for the healing of the people.

Almost afraid to go to sleep in that early morning hour, I struggled to grasp the wonder of it all. So

many times I had asked God for healingwhat if this were just a dream? How shattering it would

be to wake up still afflicted with that cruel pain, pain like hot metal welded to my body. The agony

had been so terrible I had felt as though I couldn't bear one more second of it. What if I woke in

the morning to find my healing was just a dream? But it wasn't. I really had been made whole.

Sometime, I don't know whenI had lost all sense of timeI fell asleep. I had heard from heaven.

God had marked me for a lifetime. I would be all His, all His. Never would I refuse Him anything,

never refuse a fast no matter how long. I was healed. What a great treasure!

The night the Lord made me whole, He gave me the tears of Calvary for the healing of the sick.

What makes those tears? The Lord's love, faithall the fruits of the Spirit found in Galatians

5:22,23: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekne ss,

temperance. Through the Holy Spirit in our lives the nine fruits of the Spirit are produced. We

cannot produce the fruits within ourselves, for they are the fruitsof the Spirit. We only furnish the

soil; the Holy Spirit furnishes the production, the love, faith and the rest of the fruits needed in our

    lives.

The fruits of the Spirit are given so we can have the tears of Calvary that Jesus shed here on planet

Earth. His tears on Calvary for a lost and dying world are more than human tears; they are divine

tears for the sins and the sickness of the people. Isaiah 53:5 tells ushe was wound ed for our

transgressions, he w as bruised for our iniqu ities: the chastisemen t of our peace w as

up on him; and w ith his stripes we are healed. Jesus is our sickness-bearer as well as our

    sin-bearer.

Old Testament types and shadows reveal the two-fold atonement of Jesus: healing for both soul

and body. At that first Passover in Egypt a lamb was slain, its blood placed on the doorpost. When

the angel of death saw that blood, he passed over the house. The atoning power of the Lord,

represented by the lamb's blood, saved lives; just as the atoning power in the blood of Calvary saves

    souls from hell.

The sacrificial lamb did more for the Children of Israel. At that first Passover, everyone in need of

healing received it when they ate the lamb's body. The atoning power of the Lord, represented by

the lamb's body, gave them healing. Psalm 105:37 tells us this about the Exodus of the Israelites

    from Egyptian bondage: He b rought them forth also with silver an d gold: a n d t h e r e w a sn o t o n e f ee b le p e r so n a m o n g t h e i r t r ib e s .

We find that although the great God-tears were available in the Old Testament, very few took

advantage of those tears: very few cried the tears of God for the sick and afflicted or the lost. In a

revelation from the Lord, I learned that many people could have been healed down through the

years had more tears of Calvary been shed. The power of Divinity must be in our prayers. Jesus

brought this power all the way from heaven to forgive sins, to heal sicknesses and diseases; and Heused it in perfection. He is our example: For even hereu nto were ye called: becau se Christ

    also suffered for u s, l ea v i n g u s a n e x a m p l e, that ye should follow his steps (I Peter

2:21): Jesus tells us in John 21:22: Follow thou m e. Only when we follow Jesus in the tears of

Calvary will the sick be healed and those bound in sin delivered.

I know the source of my healing; and I, too, follow Him. To follow Jesus is to do what He tells you

to do. When He told me that I would go on a long fast and after it was over I would have His power

for the healing of the people, I knew I would have it just as I knew I had a left hand and right hand.

No turning back for me; I would never be the same. As I fasted and sought Him, I would becomelike Him, putting self completely down. Those who expect to be instruments the Lord can work

through must walk in His steps.

Jesus give us this promise in John 14:12-14: Verily, verily, I say u nto you , He that believe th

    on m e, the w orks that I do shall he do also; and greater w orks than these shall he do;

becau se I go unto m y Father. And w hatsoever ye shall ask in my name , that will I do,

that the Father may be glorified in the Son . If ye shall ask any thing in my name , I will

do it. This is the verse the Lord used when He gave me the gift of discerning of spirits:He that

believeth on m e, the w orks that I do shall he do also; and greater w orks than these

    shall he do.

In verses 16 and 17 we read:And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another

Comforter, that he may abide w ith you for eve r; Even the Spirit of truth; w hom the

world cann ot receive, because it seeth him not, ne ither knowe th him: bu t ye know

him; for he dwe lleth w ith you, an d shall be in you . Neither the world nor the lukewarm

Christians understand Jesus and His tears. When He prays to the Father for us, He prays with all

the power in the tears of Calvary.

In the 26th verse Jesus continues: Bu t the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the

Father will send in my nam e, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your

remembrance, w hatsoever I have said unto you. The Holy Ghost shall teach you, Jesus

said. Through the Holy Spirit, the gifts, the power of God must operate.

God has a clear-cut plan for everyone, every member of the Glorious Church, everyone who will

take his or her place. The Lord told me years ago this hour of going either to the right or left would

come. You are not standing still; you may think you are, but you are going one way or the other.

The Spirit of God lifts when you won't go His way. He loves you so much that He doesn't suddenly

snatch away His Spirit and love from you; they usually fade gradually. The Lord keeps hoping,

trusting, working; but as you move away, you separate yourself from Him. Oh, the tears of Calvarywhen only one last drop of mercy is left for you! God knows that if you refuse that last drop, you

    are doomed.

Those who are taken in the Rapture will have the same Spirit of separation as the Early Church.

The Early Church held on to no one but Jesus. When they were about to be burned at the stake,

crucified, torn apart by wild animals, they faced death with the courage of Jesus. They died for His

name's sake; they were like the Master. Jesus demonstrated His separation from the world when

He asked,Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his

hand tow ard his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren ! For

whosoev er shall do the w ill of my Father which is in heaven , the same is my brother,

and sister, and mother (Matthew 12:48-50).

The hour has come to separate the strength of the tears of Calvary from the weakness of human

tears. Human tears are no stronger than a human being; and compared to the miraculous, to the

strength of the Almighty, that is not very strong. Human weakness makes Divinity with us a

necessity; it's the reason we must be partakers of his divine nature.

Human tears can be shallowweak salty fluid running down the cheeks. Human tears will not save

the lost, heal the sick and afflicted, or deliver the devil possessed. The divine tears of Jesus will.

Let nothing hinder your commitment to God; don't mistake the emotion of man for the tears of

Calvary. Some cry only self-tears, full of emotion. The result may be sympathy, but never

deliverance. Divinity cries when no tears run down the cheeks. Divinity cries, and the love of

heaven, the peace of God and His healing power flow. Divinity cries and saving grace goes into

    action.

See the cross of Calvary, the tormented form hanging there: the tears Jesus shed on Calvary were

preserved, bottled up to be used millions and millions of times by those who truly love and serve

Him. God gave everything when He gave Jesus, and that's the reason in Calvary's tears we have

everything needed, all the love and faith of heaven. But in order to use everything needed, we must

separate from the world and yield to the Holy Spirit daily.

The Lord cannot deliver those who don't want to be delivered; but if they want it, they can bedelivered, saith the Lord. In my name, Jesus said, In my nam e shall they cast out

devils they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). Believers

with the tears of Calvary will lay hands on the sick in the name of Jesus, and the sick will get well.

A leper came to Jesus saying: If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved

with compassion, put forth his hand, and tou ched him, and saith un to him, I will; be

thou clean (Mark 1:40, 41). The leper knew Jesus had the power to heal him; he just didn't know

whether healing was His will. Immediately Jesus made His will known to the leper by healing

him. Jesus was moved with the same compassion that went into the tears of Calvary. The samelove, the same compelling Spirit were all there that day the leper came beseeching Jesus for

healing. As the types and shadows of Moses' day indicated, Jesus brought healing to mankind as

    well as salvation.

And Jesus w ent forth, and saw a great multitude, and w as moved w ith compassion

toward them , and he healed their sick(Matthew 14:14). It was a multitude that Jesus saw,

looking on them with the same compassion He had on Calvary when He paid the price for our sins

as well as our sicknesses. Jesus, remember, is our sickness-bearer as well as our sin-bearer; He's

everything for the human race, everything we need. All who accept Him and His sacrifice, His

tearsCalvary's tearscan have deliverance in the name of Jesus. Blessed be the name of the

    Lord!

And, beho ld, two b lind m en sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus

passed by, cried ou t, saying, Have mercy on u s, O Lord, thou son of David. And Jesus

stood still, and called them, an d said, what will ye that I shall do u nto you ? They say

un to him, Lord, that our eyes may be open ed. So Jesus had compassion on them, and

touched their eyes: and imme diately their eyes received sight, and they followe d him

(Matthew 20:30,32-34). The two men didn't stay behind with the multitude who had rebuked

them for calling out to Jesus. Knowing the source of their miracle, they followed Jesus.

Jesus saw a woman who had been bent over for eighteen years. Today we would call her condition

arthritis; Jesus called it devil bondage. And, behold, there w as a woman which had a spirit

of infirmity eighteen years, and was b owe d together, and could in n o w ise lift up

herself. And w hen Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Wom an,

thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on he r: and imme diately

she was made straight, and glorified God. And ou ght not this woman , being a

daughter of Abraham, wh om Satan hath bou nd, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed

from this bond on the sabb ath day(Luke 13:11-13,16)? Immediately she was delivered.

Calvary's tears will flow for the sick and afflicted in this final hour, saith the Lord. The Glorious

Church, the Bride of Christ will have tears for the sick and afflicted the way she has tears for the

lost. The sick and the afflicted will be delivered as never before in the history of mankind.

Calvary's tears will bring about the mighty signs and wonders that the Lord foretold would come to

pass in the latter days, in this final hour. These signs and wonders will open the eyes of many who

don't believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God.

The victory of the Early Church was through the tears of Calvary: tears for the lost, tears for the

sick and afflicted. Mighty healing services took place, services so great that people brought their

sick into the streets, laid them on couches so that the shadow of Simon Peter might fall on them

and bring the miracle needed. And b y the hands of the apostles were many signs and

won ders wrou ght among the people Insomu ch that they brought forth the sick into

the streets, and laid them on beds and couche s; that at the least the shadow of Peterpassing by might overshadow som e of them. There came also a mu ltitude o ut to the

cities roun d abou t un to Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them w hich were vexe d

with un clean spirits: and they were healed e very one (Acts 5:12,15,16). As the Early Church

ministered in the midst of the people, the same kind of miracles took place as when Jesus walked

the Earth. Why? Because they carried the same tears.

In this final hour, this church of Jesus Christ, the Glorious Church without spot and wrinkle, will be

holy, pleasing God the way Jesus did, walking in the perfection of His love, doing the Lord's will

day and night. I have come to do thy w ill! is the cry of the Bride, the Glorious Church. No wonderthe Lord called her glorious: glorious in the ways of His Son Jesus, glorious in His love and

compassion, glorious in delivering the multitudes as His Son delivered the multitudes. Blessed be

    the name of the Lord!

Even before He shed the tears of Calvary, Jesus introduced them to the twelve disciples. Then he

called his twelve disciples together, and gave them pow er an d authority over all

devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to pre ach the kingdom of God, and to

    heal the sick(Luke 9:1,2).

After these things the Lord appointed other seve nty also, and sent them tw o and tw o

before his face into eve ry city and p lace, whither he h imself wou ld come (Luke 10:1). In

Luke 10, Jesus told the seventy to heal the sick. And the seventy retu rned again w ith joy,

saying, Lord, even the devils are sub ject unto us through thy name. And he said un to

them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven . Behold, I give u nto you pow er to

tread on serpen ts and scorpions, and over all the pow er of the enemy: and nothing

shall by any mean s hur t you (Luke 10:1,17-19). Jesus brought this power, and the seventy

rejoiced over it. He told them: Notwithstan ding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are

subject un to you; bu t rather rejoice, because your nam es are written in heaven (verse

    20).

The twelve, the seventy had the power in the tears of Calvary: for just a short time they had it,

power to tread on serpents and scorpions, power in the tears of Calvary. Not until they received

the Holy Ghost, however, were they able to keep this power.

After the resurrection, Jesus is about to ascend into heaven. The tears of Calvary had been shed.

He has won. He leaves His tears with the disciples: Bu t ye shall receive pow er (Acts 1:8). Now

they can all have it. These signs shall follow the m that be lieve (Mark 16:17). All the power

needed to bring salvation and healing to mankind is in the tears of Calvary. They are our tears,

given to us by heaven. Jesus paid for them for us; they're ours. We will use the tears of Calvary to

take the Gospel message to the whole world in this final hour. With Calvary's tears, with all their

power for mankind, we will cry,You can be saved! You can be healed! Jesus saves; Jesus heals!

Peter and John, going up to the temple, met a man lame from birthover forty yearswho had to

be carried to the Gate Beautiful where he asked alms of those entering the temple. Then Peter

said, Silver and gold have I none; bu t such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus

Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him b y the right hand, and lifted him

up : and imme diately his feet and ankle bone s received strength. And he leaping up

stood, and walked, and ente red w ith them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and

praising God (Acts 3:6-8). It was a miracle that filled the people with wonder and amazement.

Once again in this final hour we will experience the unbelievable. The Lord will reveal Himself like

He has never revealed Himself before. This is the final hour.

And as the lame man which w as healed held Peter and John, all the people ran

together un to them in the porch that is called Solomon 's, greatly won dering. And

whe n Peter saw it, he answe red u nto the people. Ye m en of Israel, why marvel ye at

this? or why look ye so earnestly on u s, as though by our ow n pow er or holiness we

had made this man to walk? And his [Jesus'] name throu gh faith in his name hath

made this man strong, whom ye see and know : yea, the faith which is by him hath

given him this perfect soun dness in the presen ce of you all (Acts 3:11,12,16).

Don't look on us as something special, Peter is saying. This healing came not through any holiness

we have on our own, but through the name of Jesus, through faith in his name. The tears of

Calvary brought this man perfect soundness.

The miracle frustrated those persecuting the Early Church. Acts 4:14,And b eholding the manwhich w as healed standing w ith them, they could say nothing against it. That's the way

it will be today, too. People will want to sneer at the power of God, but there will stand a fantastic

miracle before them: a person once blind, that one who could not walk, that one dying with some

diseaseall healed. The facts cannot be denied.

The cry in the tears of Calvary that rang out in the Early Church still rings out for us today:Then

Peter said unto them, Repe nt, and be b aptized every one of you in the name of JesusChrist for the remission of sins, and ye shall rece ive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the

promise is unto you , and to you r children, an d to all that are afar off, even as man y as

the Lord ou r God shall call (Acts 2:38,39). The message of the tears of Calvary we must carry to

the whole world: the promise of the Holy ghost is for everyone who has answered the Lord's call to

salvation. Receive ye the Holy Ghost (John 20:22)!

And they continu ed stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in

breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came up on every soul: and many

won ders and signs were don e by the apostles (Acts 2:42,43). Why were they able to perform

so many signs and wonders? Because of the tears of Calvary, the tears of His compassion, the tears

of His love, peace and longsuffering. The Spirit and the power of His self-control lived in their

hearts, putting self down that Christ might live and be all in all to them.

The Early Church was continually praising God, going from house to house in great fellowship.

They did not gossip, criticize; but spoke with love and encouragement. Gossip and criticism will

not be allowed in the Glorious Church in this final hour, but will be welcomed by the lukewarm.People who gossip and criticize will be left standing outside, saith the Lord, standing outside. How

sad! They will think they're part of the Glorious Church, but they will not be.

By all this shall all men know that ye are m y disciples, if ye have love one to another

(John 13:35). Every member of the Glorious Church will wear the bridle of perfect loveHis love.

Many signs and wonders will take place today through that love, oh Bride of Christ. Seeing ye

have pu rified your souls in obeying the truth through the S pirit un to un feigned love

of the brethren, see that ye love one another w ith a pure heart fervently(I Peter 1:22).

The ninth chapter of John tells of a man born blind who received a miracle that unbelievers weren't

able to brush aside. Today there will be all kinds of miracles and healings, all kinds of fantastic

things God will do that man will not be able to ignore. I've already seen this miracle outpouring

years ago in a vision. The fulfillment of this vision is on its way; the sound of abundance of

miracles is up ahead. Do you wonder why the enemy fights you so, Believer? Do you wonder whythe enemy tries to keep you from fasting, from prayer, from living in the presence of God, from

being so careful with your life, careful what you say and do, careful with your influence? He knows

that in living a holy, dedicated life, you have the tears of Calvary with the power to do what no

other power can. Heaven's powerevery member of the bridal company will carry its greatness as

the Early Church carried it. Obey the truth.

In the midst of persecution, the Early Church prayed for holy boldness. And n ow, Lord, behold

their threatenings: and grant u nto they servants, that with all boldness they may

speak thy word, B y stretching forth thine hand to he al; and that signs and w onde rs

may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And w hen they had prayed, the

place was shaken w here they w ere assembled together; and they were all filled w ith

the Holy Ghost, and they spake the w ord of God w ith boldne ss (Acts 4:29-31). We must

have the holy boldness of the Early Church.

With his stripes w e are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Healing for the soul, mind and body, I say again,

is in the atonement. The tears of Calvary for healing, for sicknesses, for afflictions, the tears of

Calvary for sins of all kinds, the tears of Calvarywhat price was given for them! Those tears are

    incredibly valuable.

And with the tears of Calvary we will pull down so much of the power of God that impossibilities

will become possible. We will pull down such power that people will step into that power of God's

greatness and be made whole, saith the Lord.

With Calvary's tears, the Bride is in her great hour, her final hour on stage for Himnothing will be

able to stop her; nothing will be able to destroy her while all heaven watches over her night and

day. Millions and millions of angels will minister to the Bride as she ministers to the people. Therewill be no weakness; for she will use His strength. She will have the same message Jesus had, not

another, the same results that He had; only it will be on a greater scale, saith the Lord. Multitudes,

multitudes, multitudes with no way for man to number them will be saved, healed and delivered.

Feel the Earth trembling as the Bride walks in His strength and power. "Arise!" she will cry to the

crippled ones, and they will walk.

God has given many, many miracles through this Jesus ministry. I will never forget the large

cancer God healed in one of my services. After prayer, the cancer fell from the face of a man before

he left the platform. He turned back to show me what had happened. It looked as though the

cancer had been cut out, but the flesh was smooth where the cancer had been. God did it.

Compassion means to feel pity, sympathy, to suffer. With Calvary's tears, you're willing to suffer, to

fast. The compassion of Calvary's tears on the inside of me are the reasons I have gone on many, many fasts, numbers of them reaching forty days and night. The compassion of Calvary's tears

compels me ever onward into the arms of God that I might help others. Oh God, you must heal this

one! I look into tormented eyes, eyes of suffering; I look into eyes staring past me at the jaws of

death, and I see myself years ago when I was in a dying condition, on the edge of the grave,

knowing that soon I would be in eternity if God did not intervene. I see people standing before me

in the condition I was once in. Their spirits are crying out,Oh God, I want to live! I want to be

delivered from this tumor! I want to be healed from this affliction! I want a good heart; I wa nt

strong legs to I can walk! As I see them my soul is alive with the tears of Calvary.

Calvary's tears bring the power of God for healing to people in my services. Through Calvary's

tears, the blind receive their sight, the deaf hear, people are delivered from all manner of

sicknesses and diseases. As we cry out to God, more and more souls are coming into the greatness

of God, and more and more miracles and healings are taking place. The anointing is increasing

every time we come together, saith the Lord, because people are agreeing. They have come on in,

taking the tears of Calvary for their very own, crying the tears of Calvary for the lost and for the sick

and afflicted. Oh what a difference it makes when the church cries the tears of Divinity! Not the

tears of self-pity, not the tears of weakness, not human tears, but the tears of Divinity, tears of

power, heaven's tears that carry Christ's salvation and healing.

Heaven's tears bring people under subjection to the Word of God in such a mighty way that they

can yield all to Him, crying In the name of Jesus, Thou foul devils come out! and the devils have to

leave. It takes compassion to deliver people from demon possession. My soul cries for the devil

possessed. I see people bound with demons of alcohol or drugs, and I know they can be delivered.

The tears of Calvary for them is in my heart, in my spirit. The compassion of those tears is crying

out,You can be delivered! You can be set free! Don't you want to be free?

I think of you who are sick and afflicted, and the compassion of heaven moves inside of me. You

are meant to be a partaker of His divine nature. Get ready for His miracle, for His divine power to

move. Forget about man with his hands of clay; forget about human tears: look beyond man's

limitations to the tears of Divinity. Feel His love you you sayingI will deliver you! I will set you

free, Child! Let Him speak to you as He spoke to me the night He healed me and brought me life.

Again and again the Holy Spirit will cry through me to a crowd of people,Wilt thou be made

whole? Wilt thou be made whole? Wilt thou be made whole? And as I begin to cry that, the same

Spirit the Lord brought to me the night I was healed comes upon me for others. And in this final

hour, saith the Lord, there will me many, many multitudes that will be made whole in a matter of

moments by the hand of God, by the Spirit of God. It will be signs and wonders to the unbelievers.

Oh, Glorious church of Jesus Christ: with the power of Him, the tears of Him, nothing can defeat

you! What a thrilling sight in the eyes of God are the tears of Calvary in the hearts of men and

women. Salvation and healing were paid for at Calvary. What price! but Jesus paid it.

He is despised and rejected of men ; a man of sorrows, and acqu ainted with grief

(Isaiah 53:3). Jesus was acquainted with grief; He met all diseases, all sin for you and me and

conquered them all. There is no lack of His power to deliver.

Many come for healing expecting only one healing at a time when perhaps they need many

afflictions healed. They have been taught no other way, but the Lord will do more. One day the

Lord reminded me that He didn't heal only part of me; He healed me all over. That great miracle

of complete wholeness is one He holds out to all in the tears of Calvary. The Bible tells us through

the Psalmist the Lord is the one who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy

diseases (Psalm 103:3). The Lord forgives all sin and heals all sicknesses. All! When you presentyourself before the Lord, don't limit God by receiving only a portion of what He wants to give you.

The Lord could not forgive you of all your sins until you yielded all to Him; He could not save your

soul until you gave your soul completely to Him. Yield all your diseases to Him, also.

When I was being groomed to receive the gift of healingand other gifts as wellI didn't know the

deep, deep valleys of darkness and suffering I would go through so that I could have compassion

for others. You can't have great compassion for that which you have never experienced. I hadpreached many, many funerals before my precious wife died; and I thought I understood how the

ones left behind felt. I wept with those who wept, mourned with them. As a pastor, the shepherd

of my flock, I have always loved my people, fasting and praying for them. If they were in sorrow, I

was in sorrow. I carried their burdens down through the years. I thought I felt as they did when

they lost their loved ones, but I didn't really know what they went through until I lost Angel. One of

the men who travel with me said, "I can tell the difference in you when someone comes before you

who has lost a companion." Yes, I cry on the inside as the tears of Calvary flow forth to those

people. Oh, how I want to help them, to reach down and lift them out of that deepest of valleys! I

want to bring them into the light of God's love, God's sunshine. I want to tell them:Oh, Jesus willlove you so much now. All you'll need to do is say "Jesus, love me!" That's how I survived when I

lost Angel. It seemed I couldn't live without her, couldn't even breathe normally at times. My

world had turned into a nightmare. I hemorrhaged through my nose and mouth; the blood gushed,

large clots. The doctor said I was lucky: had I not hemorrhaged I no doubt would have suffered a

stroke. It would have been fearfulhad I really cared. But what did it matter? She was gone.

Then the Lord used the tears of Calvary for the lost and afflicted to get my attention:You will have

to live for them. The tears of Calvary were not for myself; they were for others, for all those who

could be reached. After Angel died, there was nothing personally I wanted anymore. Had I not

had the tears of Calvary, nothing would have mattered at all. Death would have been a welcome

visitor to meI had never imaged I could feel like that.

Thank God for the tears of Calvary, the tears of His love and grace! The tears of Calvary on theinside of me made me stand when nothing else could, those tears of compassion to care for others

with their burdens. What would my people do without my support, my prayers? I would have to

help them and their children. I was born to help people. It didn't matter how I felt.

The tears of Calvary, that love for afflicted and lost humanity, gave me the heart, the determination

to live. I love the lost, the sick and afflicted more that I love myself. I never would have fasted for

myself the way I have fasted for others, nor spent the hours on myself that I have spent on others. I

do it for Jesus and lost humanity, for the sick and afflicted, for those I know and those I have never

    seen.

I don't consider race, nationality, social position. A minister, seeing me pray for children on an

impoverished mission field, said he didn't think he could take little dirty babies in his arms the way

I did. I was amazed that he commented on it. I don't look on them as children to be avoided, but as

suffering ones who need to be loved and helped. That compelling love, those tears of Calvary reach

out to all in need. I am called of God to love the unlovable, the unclean as well as the clean.

Perhaps some never have had the privilege of being taught how to be clean, but that doesn't matter

where souls are concerned. Bodies ache; paid is felt. Suffering is terrible; but with great

compassion, the tears of Calvary reach to all suffering, tortured humanity.

My mother cried those tears for me when I was just a little boy tortured with a bone disease

burning like fire in my leg. It felt as though a wild animal were gnawing on the bone, and there was

no way to stop it. Through those long nights of pain, my mother stayed by my bed; no matter how

tired she was, she never left me. Mama held onto God, praying hour after hour until I got

relieffor a while. Then the pain would begin all over again. No one knows what that disease was

like. I could never explain the pain even to Mama. I wanted to scream and keep on screaming

anything, if I could only get away from that agonizing gnawing on the bone. Mama would say,

"Honey, Jesus will heal you. The devil is just trying your faith." She knew that even as a child I had

faith; she had played a big part in putting it in my heart. Again and again she said, "Honey, the

Lord's going to heal you. He will do it." The last thing I would remember before falling asleep was

Mama praying, "Please God, do heal him. Lord, he's suffering! Do heal him!"

The tears of Calvary in Mama's life are the reason so many people were healed when she prayed.

I've never known other laymen to have the success my mother had in praying for the sick. God

performed miracles and healings through her hands because she was a prayer warrior, one who

fasted and prayed. She loved the bible, had such faith in its promise of healing that she would lay it

on a sick child and expect that one to get well. She had great compassion for the sickand for me.

Although for a long time I suffered with the bone disease, Mama wouldn't give up. Her message of

faith in God's healing power never dimmed, never softened. Always it sounded out loud and clear

in my ears. Mama said I would be healed and that healing had to comeit would come! Mama

had never lied to me; Mama just didn't know when the miracle would take place. Then one day it

happened: the suffering came to an end; I was healed. I'm so grateful today for that healing. I no

doubt would have lost my leg had not the Lord intervened, had it not been for Calvary's tears.

Calvary's tears for the afflictedthe devil had afflicted me, but Jesus won. His winning gave me

more faith as a child than ever before, fantastic faith; and it flowed, much of it, through my Mama,

through watching her pray for me and others and seeing the results. When Mama prayed, I would

feel the Spirit of the Lord going through me, and I knew she was in touch with God. Her prayers

poured forth like water from a bursting dam, crying aloud to heaven. She pulled down the tears of

Calvary for the sick and afflicted. The tears of Calvarythere is nothing like them, nothing like the

    tears of Jesus.

Some of you don't realize you are crying the tears of Calvary; you wonder why tears are not running

down your cheeks when you have such a yearning, such compassion for the afflicted, for the lost.

Be deceived no longer. You are crying the tears that really count, the tears of Divinity. That

hunger, that cry is there, the cry of God, of Jesus and of the Holy Spirit for the soul and body. It's

    the cry of Divinity.

The Glorious Church has Divinity's salvation and has gone on to receive the baptism in the Holy

Ghost, the third Person in the Trinity of the Godhead. She has become bone of His bone, flesh of

His flesh, partakers of His divine nature. There is no separation; the true born-again Christian

cannot be separated from Him. The devil has nothing he can use to separate you from your Lord.

The Glorious Church will stay with the Lord, remain with Him. She will be like Jesus, humble and

without sin, walking in His shoes, saying the things He said, preaching the same Gospel. People

will be healed of all manner of sicknesses and diseases, and the devil possessed will be set free. Oh

blessed be the name of the Lord! We'll be somewhere working for our Lord when Jesus comes to

    take us home.

There will be sunshine at midnight as the midnight cry is heard and the sunshine of heaven beams

upon the Glorious Bride. She will be on stage in all the glory of Him, all the humility, all the

compassion. She will be there to be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, caught up

because of the tears of Calvary. The Lord on that great day will wipe away the Bride's tears. What a

glorious wedding it will bethe marriage supper of the Lamb! No tears, no human tears and no

    tears of Divinity.

How wonderful to know that we belong to Him one hundred percent and to know He belongs to

us. Heaven holds nothing in reserve. We have the whole Jesus.

Yea, saith the Lord: Redemption draweth nigh. I am giving you my tears; they are divine tears.

But you are mine. You are my precious jewels, treasures of mine; and you are so valuable. You're

not contaminated; you're pure. You're pure, clean and holy. You'll walk with your hand in mine.

There is no separation in your spirit and mine. My Spirit flows into you, and your spirit flows

into me. You're joined together with me, and we're workers together. You are taking my

message; you are taking my power and my greatness to the inhabitants of the Earth, and then the

end will come, saith the Lord.

You will not be defeated, so do not be discouraged, I will be your strength, so never say "I am

weak." I will be your love and your joy and your peace. I will comfort you, and I will be with you

in all of your valleys. When the furnace is heated hotter than ever before, when you're persecuted

like never before, I will be with you. I will be with you to rejoice because you will be using my

power, and no power will be able to defeat you, saith the Lord. I will be the very strength, the

very love of your life. You will see and hear and know that I am nigh unto you night and day.

You will have reality in my love for you. And you will have reality in knowing how valuable you

are to me as I use you to bring in the lost, as I use you for the signs and the wonders and the

miracles and the healings, as I use you to show my love to a people in darkness, as I use you to

shine my light through to light up their paths so that they can see.

You will feel the wa rmth of my love, and you will know that you indeed have the tears of

Calva ry. You have become like your Master who died for you. And with the strength that I have

given to you, your heads will be lifted high, and you will shout, "Redemption draweth nigh!" We

must hurry and bring in the harvest before it's too late, saith the Lord.

The Lord is moving, the Lord is here. If you want to be just like Jesus in this final hour say this

    prayer with me:

"Oh, God, I do want to be just like Jesus! I want to love like He loves; serve what He serves. I ask

Him to forgive me of all my sins, to come into my heart so I can wear the shoes of Jesus, helping

people throughout the whole Earth. I will pay any price; I will do anything. Walking softly

before you, Lord, I will refuse you nothing. From this day forward I will never say No to you. I

will do your will, and I will treasure the tears of Calvary. I will yield myself to the Holy Spirit

night and day so that I can have the tears of Calvary, so you can use me, God, as you used your

Son Jesus when He was here on Earth ministering to the people with salvation and healing,

bringing deliverance for the whole person. I consecrate myself unto you. I am yours, Lord, use

me! Use me Precious Divine One, use me with your tears of Calva ry for the sick and afflicted to be

healed, for the sinful to be saved that the world may know your love and compassion for all

humanity as you know it. Amen.
