The Tatra Mountains

The Tatra Mountains are the highest mountain range in the Carpathian Mountains. The Polish Tatras area is 175 km. The highest Tatras peak in Polish is Rysy 2499m. The Tatras consist of :

The Tatra Mountains Zakopane – the town informally known as the Winter capital of Poland, lies in

the southern part of the Podhale region at the feet of the Tatra Mountains. It lies in a big valley beyween the Tatras and Gubałówka Hill. It’s a most important Polish center of skiing. About three milion tourists visited Zakopane in one year. The most important alpine skiing locations are Kasprowy Wierch , Nosal and Gubałówka Hill

Krupówki- center of Zakopane. This is a street started near Gubałówka Hill. It has over one kilometers. There are a many restaurants, cafes, shops and souvenir from Tatras.
