Research
I have targeted my audience through the use of surveys and questionnaires to ask what consumers enjoy and what is generally received well.
The following slides all include information on the results collected.
Magazines
The magazines that were proven to be most popular amongst the people who completed my surveys were NME, Classic Rock and Kerrang!
These magazines each had the same amount of votes on the question “which music magazines do you read, if at all?” with 36.36% of votes each.
Most popular:
Kerrang! Magazine, Q and NME.
Least popular:
Gramophone, Mixmag and Rhythm.
Gender
The majority of the people who took my questionnaires were female.
There were still quite a few male participants, but most of the people who took my questionnaires were female.

Bands and Brands
I asked in one of my surveys questions related to brands, bands and labels. Here are some of the responses I received in regards to the kinds of music people listen to and the kind of brands they buy:

Restaurants and Food Brands
The people who my magazine targets are shown to be more interested in buying food related brands from fast food restaurants like McDonalds and KFC, which were the two highest scoring food brands in terms of voting on my questionnaires.
The least popular restaurants were Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Yo! Sushi and Wagamama’s.
