Either alone or in public gatherings, with singing, dancing and other exhibitions of royal opulence, one should arrange to celebrate those holy days, ceremonies and festivals set aside specially for My worship. - SB 11.29.11

The whole of Gauda-mandala is cintámani, or touchstone, yielding all desires. The dháma is full of knowledge and bliss and is completely spiritual. The water, the land, the trees – everything in the dháma is spiritual, unlike the dull matter of this material world. In that position, the dháma acts eternally as the base or support for the Lord´s appearance and activities. All this is the action of the inconceivable energy of the Lord, which is anti-material and completely transcendental.

Lord Brahma prays, “When will I become so fortunate to take birth as a blade of grass in Navadvípa-dháma? Then I will receive the dust from the feet of the devotees who are engaged in serving the lotus feet of Sri Gauránga.”

The devas, rishis, and Rudras always reside in different parts of Navadvípa.

The transcendental pastimes of Śri Caitanya are a deep ocean, whereas the process of mundane logic is simply not working. But by giving up false arguments and taking the guidance of sádhu and sástra, one will soon receive Śri Caitanya. By reading these scriptures and accepting the words of the devotees, one will realize the treasure of Navadvípa-dháma.

Lord Caitanya appeared on the earth with His name, dháma, and associates to deliver the living entities from the troubles of materal existence.

Gauránga said, “Without considering who is fit and who is unfit, in this incarnation I will freely distribute the treasure of love which is rarely attained by even Lord Brahmá. I will reveal Navadvípa-dháma and bread the poison teeth of Kali by

performing congregational chanting of the holy names of God. As long as My name is sung, Kali will be controlled.”

By material vision this place is sixteen krośas, but it is the supreme Vaikuntha and therefore without fault or illusion. Place and time here have nothing to do with material existence. Each part measures a billion krośas, and in the center is Mayapur, a vast city. The eight islands are like petals of a lotus with Antardvípa as the central stamen. (Based on the book Śri Navadvípa-dháma Máhátmya, written by Bhaktivinoda Thákura)

All Glories To Sridham Mayapur

Janmastami FestivalEvery Hare Krishna festival is an opportunity to serve,

celebrate and remember Krishna, the best friend of all living beings. And specially Krishna´s appearance is a reason for the great joy of all His devotees, who have no other meditation than, how to help other conditioned souls to find their way back home, back to Godhead.

This year all visitors could perceived very sweet atmosphere of Madhava´s divine pastime of appearance in this material world. Although in the temple was several thousands of visitors, the entire festival ran very peacefully without any unnecessary crowds. The whole atmosphere was accompanied by soft sound of melodic kirtan and chanting auspicious mantras by Brahmanas (Gurukul students) and scented with the fragrance of the sticks and flowers offered by endless multitudes of sincere souls, which Krishna - the most attractive personality, brought to the Holy Dhama, enable them to participate his Grand Advent.

Before glorious Darshan Arati and Maha Jagňa gave H.H. Jayapataka Swami and H.G. Jananivas Prabhu very enlivening classes from the 10. canto of Srimad Bhagavatam. Thus all devotees could fully absorb in Lord´s divine advent and childhood

pastimes. H.H. Jayapataka Swami talked about that even great demigods like Brahma or Indra do not understand the Lord’s greatness fully, but simply by loving devotional service is possible to understand Him. And H. G. Jananivasa Prabhu spoke about beginning of this creation how Krishna revealed Himself to the first living being, Brahma, within his heart in the form of Gayatri mantra. He also explained 3 reasons of reciting Gayatri Mantra:

“To know Krishna, to worship Krishna, to love Krishna.”Everyone who took part in this festival will surely relish eternally

the memories of amazing abhiseka and a flood of flowers of all colors at Pushpanjali.

By drinking such a nectar one completely forgets all material condition and just dances happily for the pleasure of the Lord. And when Krishna is pleased, whole Universe is pleased.

Sri Sri Radha Madhava

Sri Mayapur Dham

Page 3: The Supreme Lord Appears - mayapur.com · his heart in the form of Gayatri mantra. He also explained 3 reasons of reciting Gayatri Mantra: “To know Krishna, to worship Krishna,

Srila Prabhupada. Your heart is like an unlimited mine of nectar and mercy, because it is full of love for KRISHNA, and He is therefore happily residing there. The heart of a great pure devotee like yourself is the most amazing thing there is.

(H.H.Bhakti Caintanya Swami)

By your causeless mercy Srila Prabhupada you enlighten us in the process of devotional service because you know what is pure devotional service and you perform pure devotional service. Otherwise how would we know what is devotional service? Certainly not by reading the scriptures. It is your purport that reveals the essence. You can, if you desire, recommend to Krishna to accept His devotee´s service, if He desires, for it is the Master who decided what constitutes devotional service, not the servant.

(H.G.Jananivas Prabhu)

You once told us that through the insurmountable challenges you faced, as well as through your incredible accomplishments, at every moment you felt the presence of your Gurumaharaja. In these words we find shelter, a place where we can connect to the sweet abode of Lord Krishna blond the raging fire of material existence.

(H.H. Radhanath Swami)

Glimpse of Appreciation

Childrens Club

“Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the great preacher of the principles of Srimad-Bhagavatam, has stressed the importance of association with sadhus, pure devotees ofthe Lord. He said that even by a moments association with a pure devotee, one can achieve all perfection. We are not ashamed to admit that this fact was experienced in our practical life. Were we not favored by His Divine Grace Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Maharaja, by our first meeting for a few minutes only, it would have been impossible for us to accept this mighty task of describing Srimad-Bhagavatam in English. Without seeing him at that opportune moment, we could have become a very great business magnate, but never would we have been able to walk the path of liberation and be engaged in the factual service of the Lord under instructions of His Divine Grace.”

HH Jayaptaka Swami

You taught us that the Supreme is a sentient being and not impersonal. You gave us transcendental literature that explain the purpose of human life and the importace of devotional service. Your books have been tranlated into more than seventy languages. Your books will be able to guide society for the next ten thousand years. Following in the footsteps of Lord Caitanya, you emphasize

the importance of preaching. You wanted us to study your books and at the same time distribute your books.

Thank you millions of times for showing the world the path of devotional service. I Pray for

your causeless mercy so that I may become fixed in executing your divine instruction and in helping propagate the sankirtana movement.

(H.H. Gopal Krishna Goswami)

Although I was an extremely new devotee, you made me your secretary, the highest position one could get in ISKCON at that time, and allowed me to stay with you all the time. You mentioned that „secretary“ means the one who knows the secrets and confidential matters and knows how to keep them secret.

You said also that the sign of real advancement is not in the position we hold but in being tolerant in all circumstances and remaining unperturbed in every situation.

“This is the sum and substance of Lord Caitanya’s saìkértana movement. There

is no distinction made between those who are fit and those who are not fit to hear

or take part in the saìkértana movement. It should therefore be preached without discrimination. The only purpose of the preachers of the saìkértana movement

must be to go on preaching without restriction. That is the way in which Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu introduced this saìkértana movement to the world.”
