The Summary Black children were denied admission to public schools attended by white children under laws requiring or permitting segregation according to the races.

Brown v. Board of Education was not the first challenge to school segregation. As early as 1849, African Americans filed suit against an educational system that mandated racial segregation, in the case of Roberts v. City of Boston.

Fourteenth Amendment

• Equal Protection Clause requires states to provide equal protection under the law to all people within their jurisdictions.

• This clause later became the basis for Brown v. Board of Education (1954), the Supreme Court decision which precipitated the dismantling of racial segregation in the United States.

This is how I feel!!

I think this cases was very important and played a major roll in history. It tells that you should fight for what’s right. Brown should not have been denied from the school in the first place.
