Our shining children—Class of 2020

Colin Powell has very rightly said that “a dream doesn’t become a reality

through magic, it needs sweat, determination and hard work”

And our students have proved it again this year.

The results of class 10th & 12th were announced recently by UP Board and

CBSE and our students faired very well. Total of 26 students sat for their

board exams this year in class 10th and 12th. 7 students appeared from

UP Board and 9 students appeared from CBSE Board in class 10th. In

class 12th, 3 students appeared from UP Board and 7 students appeared

from CBSE Board.

In Sunshine Society, Ruchi Sharma scored the highest with 90% in class

10th, UP Board. She also was a second rank holder in the state of UP and

in girl’s category first rank holder in the state. Karishma Sehgal scored the

highest with 85% in CBSE.

In class 12th, Mohit scored the highest 82.20%, CBSE Board with PCM

and Dolly Tewari scored 66%, UP Board with Commerce stream.

Few of our students could not perform academically that well. There have

been many factors which can be considered to be responsible for this, most

important being, not getting a conducive environment at home to study.

But what is reiterating is their urge to study and make themselves strong

enough to support and take care of their family in future.

We are grateful to all our teachers and mentors at our after school study

programme centres who have been guiding, mentoring and teaching these

students. What has been the winning point in this journey is not the marks

a child has secured but the aptitude that a child generates to learn, work-

hard and the urge to live a dignified life ….. which is only possible through

education!!

Thus, when generations merge there is bound to be a dispersion of

knowledge, values and positivity.

right is doing. This is how our member Ajay Chaturvedi does Sunshine’s

work - quietly, steadily and completely. A B.E, M.Tech with almost 37

years of experience, Ajay brings on his competence as a civil engineer

and guides, advises and monitors all of Sunshine’s civil projects.

Dependable to the core and available whenever the need arises Ajay Cha-

turvedi is an integral part of Sunshine and defines the spirit of Sunshine

Society.

The students who appeared for class 12th exams this year

and will be applying for admission to various colleges as well

as vocational courses were given laptops at our after school

study programme centre, sector 50, Noida. This has helped

them in filling admission forms of Delhi University and other

relevant universities and courses. The laptop were given on a

rotational basis.

The career education pro-

children right from counseling,

mentoring to helping them in

form filling. We wish our chil-
