Quote of the Month: “When one neighbor helps another, we strengthen our communities” ~ Jennifer Pahlka Getting Ready for Move Day The Move Team leads are working alongside Health Care Relocations to ensure move day goes smoothly. These teams are creating a transition plan that will help coordinate transportation, registration, staffing and many other protocols. We are committed to keeping you up to date as more information becomes available as we get closer to this exciting day! We are still working on room assignment planning, and residents and families will soon learn more details. Please continue to attend family Council meetings to hear the most up to date information. Building Update: Construction continues to progress as the interior of the building gets completed. Some milestones over the last month: Two Island Health FMO staff are now certified as elevator operators, a requirement for moving in equipment. Elevators will be fully operational for passengers and staff on December 20 th . New resident beds are being received, assembled and positioned in the building.

We are now only 3 months away from our move-in

Getting Ready for Move Day

Photo Contest Update: After you voted on house themes for the Summit, Island Health put out a

call for photos by staff, families and residents. Many fantastic photos were

submitted and the choices were narrowed down for staff, residents and

families to vote on (pictured below). The winners will be announced at the

Information Sessions on November 18th and 20th!
