Watercolour Basics with Rebecca Prince In this 6 week course you will learn about colour mixing, how to make and apply light, medium and dark tonal washes, various mark making techniques and different watercolour effects. These techniques will be applied to three different projects with the following themes: plants, animals and a simple landscape. Carers SA Meet and Greet Do you care for a family member or friend who has a disability, mental illness, chronic medical condition or who is frail due to age? Carers SA supports unpaid family Carers in the community so they can continue to support the people they care for. The Meet and Greet will give you an opportunity to connect with other Carers in your local area and to hear all about the Carer Gateway and services available through Carers SA. There will also be an opportunity to discuss a new Carer Peer Support group starting at The Summit Community Centre if there is enough interest. So come along and spend time with other Carers while enjoying a nice afternoon tea - tea, coffee and refreshments provided. Bookings are essential! Please either text Fiona on 0455884458 or email [email protected]

Thinkers of The Hills Lecture Series A fascinating series of lectures presented by extraordinary Adelaide Hills residents.

KESAB Papermaking Workshop A great workshop where participants of all ages can make their own recycled paper in just one session. Suitable for both adults and children. A great family activity!

Nuno Scarf Felting Learn to make a nuno scarf, using a length of fine tissue chiffon and felting it with fine layers of merino wool. The fibres of the wool penetrate into the silk, and as it shrinks, the fabric crinkles. This creates beautiful texture, warmth and colour in the scarf. It can also be embellished with ribbon, lace, threads or fine fabric scraps.

Resin Jewellery Making (Suitable for adults only) This workshop will cover mixing and colouring of resin, as well as various techniques to create unique jewellery pieces. Participants will also learn how finish their jewellery pieces with wet sanding technique. You can expect to walk away from this workshop with a piece of finished wearable jewellery as well as the appropriate knowledge to go forth and create resin jewellery from the comfort of your own home.

Sound Bath Relaxation Session Join Ahilya for a relaxing Sound Bath to deeply relax your body and mind. Rest back and be immersed in the tranquil sounds of medicine drum, Tibetan and crystal bowls, gongs, voice and mantra, rain sticks, ocean drums and percussion. Please dress comfortably and bring along a yoga mat or small mattress, a blanket, two cushions and a bottle of water.

Children’s Haiku Tunnel Book Workshop (Ages 7+, parental assistance required) Learn the fun art of making tunnel books. Cut, glue and draw on your tunnel book, to make a magical series of scenes. It could be about nature, your favourite animal, object or place. Adding a haiku (a short three sentence Japanese poem) to the front of your book tunnel, will act like a riddle and your readers will have to guess what the book is about by reading your Haiku!

Resin Art Workshop for Beginners (Minimum age 13) Join Bec Long from Belong Design for a wonderful chance to explore and experiment with this unique fluid medium and create a one of a kind art piece for you or someone special. Includes all materials to create your own unique piece of resin art on a 30cm round board.
