Farmer Bailey was driving home. While he was driving he hit a deer at least he thought. When he got out of the car he saw that he hit a man. He helped the man and took him home

Katie saw the Stranger. Mr. Bailey had to call the doctor to see if he was okay. When the doctor came the red part of the thermometer was at the bottom that meant he was really cold. The doctor said it was broken but it wasn’t.

Mr. Bailey gave the Stranger a new pair of clothes. He looked confused about buttons and button holes. Then steam for the pot amazed him. He saw Katie blowing on the soup. So he blowed on it to. His breath was icy cold. Mrs. Bailey got cold because she thought there was a draft.

That afternoon Katie sat with the Stranger and looked at the geese. The geese were flying south for fall. And they watched the sun set on the horizon. 2 weeks passed and the stranger still couldn’t remember who he was. But the Baileys didn’t mind.

Another week passed. Farmer Bailey couldn’t help him self noticing how strange the weather was. “Not long ago it felt like Autumn and now it fells like Summer,” said Farmer Bailey. The warm weather made the pumpkins grow bigger than ever. One day the Stranger climbed the highest hill on the farm and saw a puzzling sight.

But the trees in the sight were green. It seemed so plain and ugly to the Stranger. The stranger feelings grew bigger each day. He couldn't even look at them. The more he looked at the trees the more sad and upset he became.

At dinner the stranger came out with his old leather clothes. By the tears in his eyes, the Baileys knew he had to leave. He hugged them at the same time. They ran to wave goodbye. But he was gone. The wind was cold and the leaves were orange and red. Then they Baileys said see you next fall.
