The Storybird Project – The World needs our stories Motivated by one of the topics in their coursebook on Mystery Novels & Films, the students of the 1 st Grade of High School assumed the roles of mystery book writers and through the use of the Storybird platform, they created interesting and captivating crime stories. They put what they had learnt into good use and sharpened their writing skills in a creative manner with an impressive outcome. The Storybird Project – The World needs our stories

Motivated by one of the topics in their coursebook on Mystery Novels

& Films, the students of the 1st Grade of High School assumed the

roles of mystery book writers and through the use of the Storybird

Once upon a time…..

there was a little house,where a very strangewoman lived.

Who ever had gone inher house, never cameback.

It was unbelievable.

This woman was a serialkiller.

There had been so manymysteriousdisappearances..

So someone had to takeaction..

A detective was hired inorder to investigate thearea.And so he did.

As the detective wasclosely examining thearea, he saw a woman’sshadow getting close tohim.

‘Am I the next victim’, hethought to himself.

He was right!!

Strangely enough, thewoman managed to catchhim and she locked himinto a mysterious,haunted, isolated castlefar far away from anyone.He was there, alone andhopeless.

Noone could help him.

The detective soonrealised that this womanwas a witch and she couldtransform people intoanimals.

He saw so many peopleinside the castle! Somehad been transformedinto animals while othershadn’t.

One night when the skywas clear and no starswere shining, the witchflew away from the castleand the detective got thechance to escape.

He went straight to thepolice and reported thewitch.The police managed tofind the witch and shewas arrested.

After that, everyone was free from the witch’s spells!They were so happy!Nobody saw the witch EVER again.

At the end they allcrossed the bridge thatled them away from thatfrightening castle andthat awful area and wereexcited!

They lived a normal lifeand totally forgot aboutthe witch and theiradventures.

Once upon a time… four very close friendswere at a hotel!

“What?!!!’ said Catherine,they are givingus the most strange room in the hotel?Andwe have to sleep in there? That isn’t fair!’’

“Relax, Catherine,said Bethany,whatstrange thing could happen?”

“Oh,now I remembered Tiffany…our oldfriend but…it’s better without her!’’

‘’Anyway….where is Loucy?” askedCatherine.

“Uhm…she is at the reception desk andshe is asking for information” answeredKlara!

“Ok,lets open the door of our room” saidBethany jumping with joy!

“Stop doing that!” said Catherine!

“WOW!…the room is amazing!And lookover there….in my bed pillow there arefairies!They are so cute!I will also put myteddybear there.”said Klara.

“You make me so angry with your fairiesand teddybears!!!” answered Catherine!

And then Bethany was on the bed jumpingand screaming:“We have our own room,we have our ownroom!!!!”

And she opened her bagand started putting awayall her clothes.

Klara was playing with allher dolls and teddybearsand Catherine waswriting in her book.

But then, she was angry..“Bethany stop whateveryou are doing…you arethe worst and the mostcrazy girl I have everseen”

“I am so scared!!Why ishe called climbmurderer?”asked Klara.

“Because he climbsbalkonies to get intoroom

Then Bethany started screaming saying“AAAAAAAA WE ARE ALL GOING TODIE!”

“ONE MORE TIME AND YOU AREOUT OF THIS ROOM!Now letssleep!”said Catherine.

“Wait!I have to brush the hair of myteddybear!”

“Klara????”“Ok ok lets get some sleep’’That night at 2 o clock the door opened.Ablack figure came into theroom…Everything was dark.The blackfigure went in front of Bethany’s bed andtook out a knife….After that he left a paperunder the bed.He went out and closed thedoor

The next morning Kathrin woke up.Shesaw Bethany in her bed with a lot ofblood.She screamed.Then,Klara woke up.“What happened?”“Look at the bed of Bethany”Klara couldn’t believe it!She fell down!“Where is Lucy to see that?Who did this?”said Catherine.Klara went closer to Bethany and startedcrying in her bed.“Oh, look!”“what?”“there is a note under the bed!”said Klara“What NOTE??’’Catherine started reading.

“For any crime you want call this superdetective.So maybe this detective can helpus.”The next day:“DIN DON”,the bell rung.Lucy opened the door.A girl with sunglasses and a long grey coat came into theroom.She had soil in her boots.“Hello,detective Marlen”“Hello”“I am here to solve the crime”“Thank you….and why do you have a knifein your coat?”“Uhmm…you know….a detective alwaysneeds a weapon to kill the murderer whenhe sees him.”The detective approached Bethany, whowas covered in blood and took a picture!

And then Klara was telling to herteddybear“Don’t worry Sparki…Bethany will cometo life again.Oh…don’t cry..”All the girls were watching her!“I see I see….”said the detectiveThe next day the detective opened thedoor.“Hello detective Marlen.Ok…so …..wehave to find some clues.Obviously one ofyou is the murderer”“What?But Bethany was our friend!”saidKlara“That doesn’t mean anything!”

“And where is your knife?” asked Lucy”Yeah…about that…I forgot it in myhouse.”The detective came closer to the scene ofthe crime….there was blood everywhere, aswe said.Marlen looked at that weaponunder the pillow.“It’s a knife”“OMG!”said Klara“Who has a knife here?”“Oh,I know,Klara has because she needs itfor cutting her fruits”said Catherine.The detective came closer to Klara and said“That makes you a suspect”Klara was very scared…and she washolding her teddybear.

An hour later the girls were alone in theroom.“I am going to write my book.Girls…doyou think that one of us is the murderer?Idon’t know but this detective is verystrange”said Catherine.“Obviously,Lucy is the killer”said Klara.Lucy gave her a punch and she fell down.“Yes,propably she is” she said again“Oh…I am so nervous that someone killedour friend!!!!!”said Lucy .“Where is mypair of scissors ?I want to cut something!”She looked in her bag but the scissorsweren’t there.Then she looked under thebed“I cant find my scissors…..where are they?

She looked under the table“I AM SO NERVOUS!!!!!!!”“Calm down Loucy…..we will find yourscissors later”In the afternoon the detective Marlin cameagain.“So…now we will do a room searching inthe hotel”They went out of the room.There was a fewsoil in the ground.

“What is that?I am so scared”said Klara“Its just soil” answered Kathrin

“Maybe this stupid soil is a clue!”said Lucy.

“You are always interested in sillythings.Do you want to find the murdererwho killed your friend or not?”“OK OK lets begin the room searching”They went in the down floor,in the diningroom…but…nothing.“So what are we gonna do?”askedLucy.”Why are we doing this stupidinvestigation?”“We haven’t finished.There is also thebathroom.They went into the bathroom and sawscissors with blood.“OH GOD!There they are!!!!”said Lucy.“Aha!Is this your pair of scissors?”askedthe detective.

“And why is it covered with blood?”“I don’t know!I didn’t put them here!”“Or you don’t want to say that you killedBethany”asked the detective.“NO!!!”answered Lucy.Then the girls and Marlen went into theoffice of the detective.“I want to ask you some questions….Firstof all…who was Bethani for you?”“She was our best friend…we met herwhen we were 10 years old” said Lucy andKlara started crying“But she was so crazy and was always doingstupid things!She always got on mynerves!”said Catherine.

“What do you mean?”“Your scissors were with blood in thebathroom and you also are the mostaggressive girl of the team.”

A couple of hours later Lucy and Klarawere alone in the room.“Klara…I think that Kathrin is the killer!”“So?”“So I want you and me to make a plan tocatch her!”“No,I don’t want to do that!”“Klara if you won’t do it…..”‘’OK OK”“The plan is…….”And Lucy started telling the plan to Klara.

“We will do this in the afternoon”“OK”
