Flag Making• The students will make an Ohio State Flag
using their hand prints for the red stripes, blue tempera paint for the triangle, and star stickers.
• The giant flag will be displayed outside of our classroom.

Buckeye Candy
• The students, in groups of four, will make candy buckeyes.
• They will make the buckeyes out of chocolate and peanut butter.
• We will sell the buckeyes during our school bake sale.

Ladybug Shape Poems
• The students will write 3 words that come to mind when they think of ladybugs.
• Next, they will be given a pattern of a ladybug and a blank sheet of paper.
• The students will write their 3 ladybug words repeatedly following the outline of the ladybug.
• They will remove the pattern and their words will be in the shape of a ladybug!
• Students will color and decorate their poems.

Field Trip
• The students will go on a field trip to the Air Force Museum.
• After the tour, the students will be required to write a paragraph about what they learned and draw a picture about their favorite event of the day.
