OTHER BENEFITS It's not just lawyers and cheaper flights and fair contracts that come with your SAGA membership. We have some other little gems we can't wait to share with you.

ty( WORKSHOPS and TALKS Part of SAGfJ:s mission is to uphold the excellence and harness the passion of the performance industry. So, we've come up with a few novel ways to hone your craft, network and tantalise those acting taste buds. We're excited to offer all our members the opportunity to be part of various workshops presented throughout the year. Whether you're interested in accent classes, voice over tips, casting guidelines and etiquette, advice on how to manage your finances or a guiding hand while reading your contract, we have something for everyone. The most respected people in the industry are called upon to chat to members and impart knowledge and skill. Past guests have included the likes of Hans Strydom, Fiona Ramsay, Jurgie Wagener and Bonnie Lee Bouman. As a member you get access to the best of the best.

OTHER BENEFITS cont. (£ SOCIALS and NETWORKING

It's not often that we get to meet up with other people in the industry and network. Even if you're at every opening night, every awards ceremony, every casting ... we all know that sometimes the time is just not right to talk shop. SAGA recognises the importance of linking people within our industry. We're committed to organising breakfasts and other social events throughout the year so that our members are able to meet up, exchange ideas, grow their networks and explore job opportunities.

DISCOUNTED TICKETS Theatres in South Africa have shown their very loyal and loud support for SAGA. Now, as a full SAGA member you get a discount off your ticket price at most theatres in Johannesburg and Cape Town when you present them with your SAGA membership card at the box office. We can't think of a more encouraging endorsement and we're thrilled that our members now get to see more theatre for less money.

SAGA hosts the AfroFIA meeting in Johannesburg. SAGA is a member of FIA (International Federation of Actors)

There's just one thing missing ...

. . rA1,//2JI/ ~~y· We need as many artists as possible to join the cause so we can effect the change we want to see in our industry. Organisations like ours work more effectively when they have the numbers. As an actor, you are at the heart of the performance industry- an industry which has been marginalized for decades. SAGA is a vehicle to remedy this. It is an organisation that is apolitical, non-racial and democratic and represents your best interests. SAGA gives you a legal voice -join and use your voice!

The membership fee is fully tax deductible. To join see details below:
