“Drive Away Hunger”
Over 1160 items were collected from a one-day
drive at Food Basics and Pope John Paul Catholic
School.
Cash donations of $330 will help us purchase fresh
fruit.

Source from RBC Foundation to help with our
programs and operation.
Collecting on the busses and a one day drive at Food Basics,
Lindsay Transit collected 388 items. Thanks to Samantha
Jones and Enzo Ingribelli of CKL Public Works-Transit.
The McKesson Foundation, represented by Leslie-
Anne Dungog, granted KLFS $5,000 for the fresh
fruit breakfast program. The Foundation received
157 applications for funding and Kawartha Lakes
Food Source was one of four in Ontario and one of
fifteen in Canada to be selected.

In honour of Wilson & Vera Staples 60th Wedding Anniversary, 919 non-perishable food items and over $100 was donated in lieu of gifts. The following made a financial donation to honour the Staples: Joe & Maureen McColl, Valerie McQuat and Rollande & Ernest Percy.
At the Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Brokers’ Open House a raffle was held and over $680 was donated.
In honour of Charlie & Ina Currie’s 60th Wedding Anniversary, 140 non-perishable food items were donated in lieu of gifts. The following made financial donations in honour of this milestone: Veda Dowdall, Brian Go-wan, Bob & Lenore Puffer, Lyle & Jean Smith, David & Jane Walling, Kathleen Nicols, Fran Domi-nic, Dom & Betty Fox and Gillian Willcocks.
The Ontario Corn Fed Beef Producers held a BBQ at LaMantia’s Country Market to benefit the Food Source. The event provided 341 food items and over $460.
Peter and Gail Payne have again contributed 263 lbs. of dressed beef.
