Death Trap (Clifford Anderson), Sweeney Todd (Judge Turpin), 1776 (John Dickenson), I Do! I Do! (Michael), several iterations of A Christmas Carol (Scrooge), Baby (Alan McNally), Forever Plaid (Frankie), as the hard-nosed private-eye Stone in the Old Opera House production of City of Angels, and as Max Menken in Being Revived’s production of It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman!. Area audiences have probably seen Steve in the occasional TV ad or heard his voice on various radio and video presentations, including the award-winning tourism video So Proudly We Hail. JORDAN B. STOCKSDALE (Max/Music Director): is WOB’s Creative Director and the Founding Artistic Director of Stock♦ing Productions. He has appeared on the WOB stage in Sunset Boulevard, Legally Blonde, 9 to 5, Footloose, Jekyll & Hyde, Damn Yankees, Chicago, Hairspray, South Pacific, The Drowsy Chaperone, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, All Shook Up, The Full Monty, The Producers, CATS, The Wedding Singer, Evita, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Forever Plaid, and Fiddler on the Roof, as well as numerous Children’s Theatre productions. Since becoming WOB’s Resident Music Director, he has music directed every production since 2010; directed Steel Magnolias and Nunsense A-Men!; and wrote 2010’s Christmas Follies. He has performed in theatres throughout the Maryland-Virginia region in productions of Next to Normal, RENT, A New Brain, The Rocky Horror Show, Robber Bridegroom, Seussical, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. LUKE SZUKALSKI (Fredrich): is appearing in his second Mainstage production, the first being The Music Man. He has attended Musical Theatre Camp at WOB where he performed in Seussical, Jr. (Mr. Mayor), 100 Years of Broadway, and Annie, Jr. (Drake & Bundles). He has also been seen in the Children’s Theatre productions of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh and Disney’s Aladdin. SARAH SZUKALSKI (Brigitta): last appeared on the WOB Mainstage as Amaryllis in The Music Man. She has also appeared here in Seussical, Jr. (Jojo), 100 Years of Broadway, Annie, Jr. (Annie), Dora’s Pirate Adventure (Baby Jaguar), Disney’s Winnie the Pooh, and Disney’s Aladdin (Abu). JOSEPH WAEYAERT (Schreiber, Ensemble): has appeared in a number of productions at WOB since first appearing in Jekyll & Hyde in 2012. Two of his most notable appearances are as Aladdin in Disney’s Aladdin, Jr. and Tommy Djilas in The Music Man. Joseph was also seen in Stock♦ing Productions’ RENT and Next to Normal. TORI WEAVER (Sister Berthe): is thrilled to be making her WOB debut! Favorite past roles include May in Junie B. Jones (Jingle Bells Batman Smells) at the Maryland Ensemble Theatre, Sister Robert Anne in Nunsense with the Fredericktowne

Players, and Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Many thanks to her vocal coaches, friends, and family for their support. TIARA N. WHALEY (Sister Sophia): is thrilled to make her WOB debut. She is a West Chester University alumnus and has dual degrees in English Writing and Musical Theatre. Her favorite shows in which she has performed include Legally Blonde (Pilar – Milburn Stone Theatre), Cabaret (Kit Kat Girl – Milburn Stone Theatre), Hairspray (Lil’ Inez – Cockpit in Court), Trial by Jury (Bridesmaid – Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Chester County), Mulan Jr. (Mulan – Theatreworks … LIVE!), and Pirates of Penzance (Ruth – Redeemer Classical Christian School). Tiara also has a huge passion for theme parks and has worked entertainment at Six Flags America and Sesame Place parks. She would like to thank her family and friends for always believing in her and encouraging her to pursue her dreams. RICHARD RODGERS & OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II (Music & Lyrics): After long and highly distinguished careers with other collaborators, Richard Rodgers (composer, 1902-79) and Oscar Hammerstein II (librettist/lyricist, 1895-1960) joined forces in 1943 to create the most consistently fruitful and successful partnership in the American musical theatre. OKLAHOMA!, the first Rodgers & Hammerstein musical, was also the first of a new genre, the musical play, blending Rodgers' sophisticated style of musical comedy (which he had perfected in a twenty-five year partnership with lyricist Lorenz Hart) with Hammerstein's innovations in operetta (conceived in collaboration with such composers as Sigmund Romberg, Vincent Youmans, Rudolf Friml, and Jerome Kern.) OKLAHOMA! was followed by Carousel (1945), Allegro (1947), South Pacific (1949), The King & I (1951), Me and Juliet (1953), Pipe Dream (1955), Flower Drum Song (1958), and The Sound of Music (1959). The team also wrote one movie musical, State Fair (1945; adapted to the stage, 1995), and one for television, Cinderella (1957). Collectively, the Rodgers & Hammerstein musicals have earned 34 Tony Awards, 15 Academy Awards, two Pulitzer Prizes and two Grammy Awards. HOWARD LINDSAY & RUSSEL CROUSE (Book): The Lindsay and Crouse partnership stands today as the longest collaboration of any writers in theatrical history, lasting for 32 years. Howard Lindsay was born in 1889 and died in 1968. He became an actor at nineteen and went on to become a successful Broadway playwright and director. Russel Crouse was born in 1893 and died in 1966. After serving in the Navy, he worked on New York newspapers, gaining his first renown through a signed column in the Post. In 1932 he

MACY ARMAGOST (Louisa): is 12 years old and lives with her mom, dad, brother, and sister. She likes playing Louisa because she is a trickster and is always up to something. CHELSEA BONDARENKO (Postulant, Ensemble): has been performing at WOB throughout the years since she was 13 and starred in the theatre’s production of Annie. Since then, she has appeared in A Chorus Line, CATS, All Shook Up, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Hairspray, Chicago, Footloose, The Music Man, 9 to 5: The Musical, and Legally Blonde, as well as Clara & the Nutcracker Prince and Pinkalicious – The Musical in the Children’s Theatre. She would like to thank her parents for their lifelong support and WOB for all the opportunities. MARIA-GIULIA BRUNI (Mother Abbess): is thrilled to be making her WOB debut. She is a native of Toronto, Canada and has a Masters in Opera Performance from the Boston Conservatory. Favorite appearances include Guys & Dolls (Sarah), Godspell (Joanne), and Don Giovanni (Zerlina). When not performing, Maria stays at home with her three children and teaches private piano, voice, and parent/child music and movement classes. CHARLIE CIZEK (Rolf): is a graduate of Towson University with a degree in Music Education. This is his first production with WOB and he is very excited to be working with the cast and crew. Previously, he played the roles of Richie in A Chorus Line, Jack in Into the Woods, and Ty Jackson in Fame. He would like to thank his family, friends, and colleagues for their continued support! MATTHEW CRAWFORD (Franz): made his WOB debut in 2012 as Lord Savage in Jekyll & Hyde and has appeared in every show since then accept Steel Magnolias (for obvious reasons) and Sunset Boulevard (when he took a much needed break), as well as a number of characters in the Children’s Theatre. While all of his role at WOB have been fun, he cannot wait until he gets to play a pirate in the Children’s Theatre production of How I Became a Pirate! CAVIN DAVIS (Fredrich): has been studying music and theatre for five years. He enjoyed his role as Elfis in a school Christmas production. Other favorite roles include Pumbaa in The Lion King and a flying monkey in The Wizard of Oz. Cavin enjoys any opportunity to sing for an audience. KATHARINE FORD (Marta): is excited to make her WOB debut in The Sound of Music. She is a third grader at New Market Elementary School and a member of the Frederick Children's Chorus. Singing, dancing, and playing the piano are a few of her favorite things.

ABEL HART (Kurt): is excited to be in his first show as Kurt. He is 8 years old and in 3rd grade, and enjoys reading, playing soccer, and building with Legos. He is involved with church and spends lots of time entertaining his friends and family! MEGAN JACOBS (Louisa): is excited to be performing in her East Coast debut. Having recently moved to the area from San Diego, she is so happy to be back on stage. She is in 6th grade and loves musical theatre. Past productions (all with Metropolitan Educational Theater, San Diego) include Suessical the Musical, Beauty & the Beast, The Wizard of Oz, Annie, Oliver, The Sound of Music, Big River, and Peter Pan. AUDREY KILGORE (Marta): is a 4th grader at Liberty Elementary School. Prior to her role as Marta, Audrey played a cheerleader in a WOB Summer Camp performance of High School Musical. She was also in a commercial for the Sprout television network and has participated in several acting workshops through Kids International Talent Agency. Audrey enjoys singing in her school chorus, plays violin in the band, and has danced at Elite Feet Dance Studio in Frederick for seven years. CHARLOTTE KILGORE (Gretl): is a 1st grader at Liberty Elementary School who enjoys singing, dancing and acting. Prior to her role as Gretl, Charlotte was in a commercial for the Sprout television network. She has danced at Elite Feet Dance Studio since age four in classes including tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop. Charlotte is one of the best readers in her first grade class and she enjoys singing with her older sister. ANNIE KROP (Brigitta): is delighted to be performing in her first production at WOB. She is a 5th grade student who takes voice lessons with Catherine Porter Borden, acting lessons at Dance Unlimited, and dance lessons at MMPAC. Annie has previously performed the role of Belle in Dance Unlimited’s Theater Workshop, Beauty & the Beast. In her spare time, Annie enjoys crafts, writing songs, and spending time with family and friends. JOHNNA LEARY (Sister Margaretta): is thrilled to make her debut at Way Off Broadway. She is currently a senior vocal performance-musical theater major at Shepherd University. Favorite roles include Isabel/Helen in Scrooge: The Musical and Kate/Court Stenographer in Legally Blonde at the Old Opera House, Lily St. Regis in Annie and Frenchy in Grease at the Washington County Playhouse and Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, in productions at Shepherd University and the Washington County Playhouse. Story (Maria), Seussical (Gertrude). As a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, she has performed around NYC at The York Theatre, The Duplex, The Secret Theatre, Don't Tell Mama's, and the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center. Thanks to my family and friends and everyone involved in this wonderful production! HANNAH PECORARO (Frau Schmidt): is making her debut performance with WOB. She recently moved to America from Scotland where she performed in musical theatre in her hometown of Glasgow. Some of her favorite appearances included Guys & Dolls (Hot Box Girl), West Side Story (Graziella), Oklahoma! (Lori), and Calamity Jane (Calamity). She is looking forward to trying out her German accent after butchering the American accent for a number of years. DANIEL PUCKETT (Kurt): is much like Kurt, having a lot of siblings: 2 sisters and 2 brothers. He is 11 – almost and in 5th grade at Montessori School in Frederick. This is his tenth show since Kindergarten; his favorite being Honk! Jr. He would like to dedicate his performance of Kurt to Beth and Spence (RIP) Watson, founders of Thurmont Thespians, who have directed and produced three of his shows. STEVE STEELE (Captain von Trapp): last appeared on the WOB stage as Sheldrake in Sunset Boulevard. WOB audiences first met Steve as the Evil Sorcerer in the WOB Children’s Theatre production of Aladdin in 1996. Since then, he has performed in over 40 WOB productions including The Odd Couple (Oscar Madison), Lend Me a Tenor (Max), Ebenezer (Ebenezer Stone), Music Man (Harold Hill), The Wizard of Oz (Tin Man), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (John Jasper), as a member of the swing quartet in The All Night Strut, and several of the Christmas extravaganzas produced here at WOB over the last decade. Steve has also performed in several other local theaters in over 160 productions. Favorite appearances include Two by Two (Noah), Grease (Danny Zuko),

Picket and a member of Sigma Alpha Iota and Scene Stealers. Many thanks to her wonderful family, friends and cast members. MELISSA ANN MARTIN (Maria): is thrilled to be a part of her third production at WOB. Recent roles include: Sophie, Star-To-Be and Ronnie Boylan in Annie with the Charm City Players, Mary and The Astrologer in Sunset Boulevard at WOB, Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde at WOB, Ilse in Spring Awakening at Carroll Community College, Miss. Hannigan in Annie with Chapelgate Theatrics, Fairy Godmother in Big Bad with Carroll County Players, Nettie Fowler in Carousel with Fredericktowne Players, Edith Stanley in Pirates of Penzance at Salisbury University, and Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown at Salisbury University. And thank you to Samn, Bill, and Jordan for this awesome role! MATTHEW MASTERMATTEO (Zeller, Ensemble): graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University where he studied Theatre and Music. The Sound of Music will be Matt’s first planned appearance on the WOB stage. He has served as a lighting technician at WOB for the past year and is thrilled to start what he hopes to be a long career on the stage! SERENA PARRISH (Gretl): is very excited to be making her debut with WOB. Previously she has been performing in school musicals at Lovettsville Elementary. Serena takes voice lessons from Carrie Geiger. When not singing, she can be found drawing and writing stories. Serena would like to thank Sarah Stillman, of Lovettsville Elementary School, for teaching her about musicals and inspiring her to be the best performer she can be. MATTHEW CRAWFORD (Franz): made his WOB debut in 2012 as Lord Savage in Jekyll & Hyde and has appeared in every show since then accept Steel Magnolias (for obvious reasons) and Sunset Boulevard (when he took a much needed break), as well as a number of characters in the Children’s Theatre. While all of his role at WOB have been fun, he cannot wait until he gets to play a pirate in the Children’s Theatre production of How I Became a Pirate! CAVIN DAVIS (Fredrich): has been studying music and theatre for five years. He enjoyed his role as Elfis in a school Christmas production. Other favorite roles include Pumbaa in The Lion King and a flying monkey in The Wizard of Oz. Cavin enjoys any opportunity to sing for an audience. KATHARINE FORD (Marta): is excited to make her WOB debut in The Sound of Music. She is a third grader at New Market Elementary School and a member of the Frederick Children's Chorus. Singing, dancing, and playing the piano are a few of her favorite things.

ABEL HART (Kurt): is excited to be in his first show as Kurt. He is 8 years old and in 3rd grade, and enjoys reading, playing soccer, and building with Legos. He is involved with church and spends lots of time entertaining his friends and family! MEGAN JACOBS (Louisa): is excited to be performing in her East Coast debut. Having recently moved to the area from San Diego, she is so happy to be back on stage. She is in 6th grade and loves musical theatre. Past productions (all with Metropolitan Educational Theater, San Diego) include Suessical the Musical, Beauty & the Beast, The Wizard of Oz, Annie, Oliver, The Sound of Music, Big River, and Peter Pan. AUDREY KILGORE (Marta): is a 4th grader at Liberty Elementary School. Prior to her role as Marta, Audrey played a cheerleader in a WOB Summer Camp performance of High School Musical. She was also in a commercial for the Sprout television network and has participated in several acting workshops through Kids International Talent Agency. Audrey enjoys singing in her school chorus, plays violin in the band, and has danced at Elite Feet Dance Studio in Frederick for seven years. CHARLOTTE KILGORE (Gretl): is a 1st grader at Liberty Elementary School who enjoys singing, dancing and acting. Prior to her role as Gretl, Charlotte was in a commercial for the Sprout television network. She has danced at Elite Feet Dance Studio since age four in classes including tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop. Charlotte is one of the best readers in her first grade class and she enjoys singing with her older sister. ANNIE KROP (Brigitta): is delighted to be performing in her first production at WOB. She is a 5th grade student who takes voice lessons with Catherine Porter Borden, acting lessons at Dance Unlimited, and dance lessons at MMPAC. Annie has previously performed the role of Belle in Dance Unlimited’s Theater Workshop, Beauty & the Beast. In her spare time, Annie enjoys crafts, writing songs, and spending time with family and friends. JOHNNA LEARY (Sister Margaretta): is thrilled to make her debut at Way Off Broadway. She is currently a senior vocal performance-musical theater major at Shepherd University. Favorite roles include Isabel/Helen in Scrooge: The Musical and Kate/Court Stenographer in Legally Blonde at the Old Opera House, Lily St. Regis in Annie and Frenchy in Grease at the Washington County Playhouse and Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, in productions at Shepherd University and the Washington County Playhouse. Story (Maria), Seussical (Gertrude). As a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, she has performed around NYC at The York Theatre, The Duplex, The Secret Theatre, Don't Tell Mama's, and the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center. Thanks to my family and friends and everyone involved in this wonderful production! HANNAH PECORARO (Frau Schmidt): is making her debut performance with WOB. She recently moved to America from Scotland where she performed in musical theatre in her hometown of Glasgow. Some of her favorite appearances included Guys & Dolls (Hot Box Girl), West Side Story (Graziella), Oklahoma! (Lori), and Calamity Jane (Calamity). She is looking forward to trying out her German accent after butchering the American accent for a number of years. DANIEL PUCKETT (Kurt): is much like Kurt, having a lot of siblings: 2 sisters and 2 brothers. He is 11 – almost and in 5th grade at Montessori School in Frederick. This is his tenth show since Kindergarten; his favorite being Honk! Jr. He would like to dedicate his performance of Kurt to Beth and Spence (RIP) Watson, founders of Thurmont Thespians, who have directed and produced three of his shows. STEVE STEELE (Captain von Trapp): last appeared on the WOB stage as Sheldrake in Sunset Boulevard. WOB audiences first met Steve as the Evil Sorcerer in the WOB Children’s Theatre production of Aladdin in 1996. Since then, he has performed in over 40 WOB productions including The Odd Couple (Oscar Madison), Lend Me a Tenor (Max), Ebenezer (Ebenezer Stone), Music Man (Harold Hill), The Wizard of Oz (Tin Man), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (John Jasper), as a member of the swing quartet in The All Night Strut, and several of the Christmas extravaganzas produced here at WOB over the last decade. Steve has also performed in several other local theaters in over 160 productions. Favorite appearances include Two by Two (Noah), Grease (Danny Zuko),

Picket and a member of Sigma Alpha Iota and Scene Stealers. Many thanks to her wonderful family, friends and cast members. MELISSA ANN MARTIN (Maria): is thrilled to be a part of her third production at WOB. Recent roles include: Sophie, Star-To-Be and Ronnie Boylan in Annie with the Charm City Players, Mary and The Astrologer in Sunset Boulevard at WOB, Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde at WOB, Ilse in Spring Awakening at Carroll Community College, Miss. SERENA PARRISH (Gretl): is very excited to be making her debut with WOB. Previously she has been performing in school musicals at Lovettsville Elementary. Serena takes voice lessons from Carrie Geiger. When not singing, she can be found drawing and writing stories. STOCKSDALE (Max/Music Director): is WOB’s Creative Director and the Founding Artistic Director of Stock♦ing Productions. He has appeared on the WOB stage in Sunset Boulevard, Legally Blonde, 9 to 5, Footloose, Jekyll & Hyde, Damn Yankees, Chicago, Hairspray, South Pacific, The Drowsy Chaperone, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, All Shook Up, The Full Monty, The Producers, CATS, The Wedding Singer, Evita, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Forever Plaid, and Fiddler on the Roof, as well as numerous Children’s Theatre productions. LUKE SZUKALSKI (Fredrich): is appearing in his second Mainstage production, the first being The Music Man. He has attended Musical Theatre Camp at WOB where he performed in Seussical, Jr. (Mr. Mayor), 100 Years of Broadway, and Annie, Jr. (Drake & Bundles). He has also been seen in the Children’s Theatre productions of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh and Disney’s Aladdin. SARAH SZUKALSKI (Brigitta): last appeared on the WOB Mainstage as Amaryllis in The Music Man. She has also appeared here in Seussical, Jr. (Jojo), 100 Years of Broadway, Annie, Jr. (Annie), Dora’s Pirate Adventure (Baby Jaguar), Disney’s Winnie the Pooh, and Disney’s Aladdin (Abu). JOSEPH WAEYAERT (Schreiber, Ensemble): has appeared in a number of productions at WOB since first appearing in Jekyll & Hyde in 2012. Two of his most notable appearances are as Aladdin in Disney’s Aladdin, Jr. and Tommy Djilas in The Music Man. Joseph was also seen in Stock♦ing Productions’ RENT and Next to Normal. She is a West Chester University alumnus and has dual degrees in English Writing and Musical Theatre. Her favorite shows in which she has performed include Legally Blonde (Pilar – Milburn Stone Theatre), Cabaret (Kit Kat Girl – Milburn Stone Theatre), Hairspray (Lil’ Inez – Cockpit in Court), Trial by Jury (Bridesmaid – Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Chester County), Mulan Jr. (Mulan – Theatreworks … LIVE!), and Pirates of Penzance (Ruth – Redeemer Classical Christian School). Tiara also has a huge passion for theme parks and has worked entertainment at Six Flags America and Sesame Place parks. She would like to thank her family and friends for always believing in her and encouraging her to pursue her dreams. RICHARD RODGERS & OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II (Music & Lyrics): After long and highly distinguished careers with other collaborators, Richard Rodgers (composer, 1902-79) and Oscar Hammerstein II (librettist/lyricist, 1895-1960) joined forces in 1943 to create the most consistently fruitful and successful partnership in the American musical theatre. OKLAHOMA!, the first Rodgers & Hammerstein musical, was also the first of a new genre, the musical play, blending Rodgers' sophisticated style of musical comedy (which he had perfected in a twenty-five year partnership with lyricist Lorenz Hart) with Hammerstein's innovations in operetta (conceived in collaboration with such composers as Sigmund Romberg, Vincent Youmans, Rudolf Friml, and Jerome Kern.) OKLAHOMA! was followed by Carousel (1945), Allegro (1947), South Pacific (1949), The King & I (1951), Me and Juliet (1953), Pipe Dream (1955), Flower Drum Song (1958), and The Sound of Music (1959). The team also wrote one movie musical, State Fair (1945; adapted to the stage, 1995), and one for television, Cinderella (1957). Collectively, the Rodgers & Hammerstein musicals have earned 34 Tony Awards, 15 Academy Awards, two Pulitzer Prizes and two Grammy Awards. HOWARD LINDSAY & RUSSEL CROUSE (Book): The Lindsay and Crouse partnership stands today as the longest collaboration of any writers in theatrical history, lasting for 32 years. Howard Lindsay was born in 1889 and died in 1968. He became an actor at nineteen and went on to become a successful Broadway playwright and director. Russel Crouse was born in 1893 and died in 1966. After serving in the Navy, he worked on New York newspapers, gaining his first renown through a signed column in the Post. In 1932 he

became head of the publicity department for the Theatre Guild and in 1933 wrote his first Broadway show, collaborating with Corey Ford on the musical comedy Hold Your Horses. From 1934 on, Crouse wrote only with Lindsay. Their hits include The Sound of Music, Anything Goes, Red, Hot and Blue, Call Me Madame, the long-running play Life with Father (which originally starred Lindsay), the Pulitzer Prize winning State of the Union, and The Great Sebastians. Their producing credits included The Hasty Heart, Detective Story, and Arsenic and Old Lace. SAMN HUFFER (Director): has been involved in theatre, acting, singing, directing, and choreographing for most of his life. He has been involved in “the biz” throughout the U.S. He graduated with a double major in Vocal Performance and Theatre Arts and spent 40 years teaching those crafts at various high schools and venues around the state of Maryland. Samn has been on the staff of Toby’s Dinner Theatre for over 25 years where he has served in various capacities
