The weather has started to change but that does not mean it is time to tune up the skis yet. The golf course is still in great condition and we have several great member events to come. Monster Day will be held on Saturday, September 18th and will be a 9:00 AM shotgun. This is a 4 Person Scramble format. Bring your “A” game to the course on Monster Day. For a list of upcoming events please go to www.thejeremy.com. The Ladies 18 Hole Club Championship was held during the first week of August and Julie McMullin was crowned the champion after a one hole playoff with Marie Bambo. Marie is the 2010 Senior Ladies Champion and Susan Brewer is the Super Senior Ladies Champion. Congratulations to all the ladies who placed. Way to go! Thank you to all the ladies who participated to make this a great event. We will have a new name on the Palmer Cup trophy this year. Greg Wojtkun is the 2010 Palmer Cup champion and Eric Anderson was the runner up. The First Flight Champion is Mike Coopman, the Second Flight Champion is John Gilbert, the Third Flight Champion is Ross Kirkley and the Fourth Flight Champion is Gregg Bambo. Congratulations to all the men who placed and thank you for some exciting golf. The Junior Club Championship was held Saturday, August 21st and we had eighteen participants. Justin Shluker was crowned the champion after shooting an impressive 76 from the Blue tees on his way to his first Junior Club Championship. Other flight winners included Cole Ponich, Caylyn Ponich and Saylor Rabe. Thank you to all the participants who made this a memorable event. This fall will be the fourth season that holes 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, and 14 will have electric fences surrounding the greens. The ruling for relief will be as follows: Nearest Point of Relief The “nearest point of relief” is the refer-ence point for taking relief without penalty from interference by an immovable obstruction (Rule 24-2). It is the point on the course nearest to where the ball lies: a. that is not nearer the hole b. where if the ball were so posi-tioned, no interference by the condition from which relief is sought would exist for the stroke the player would have made from the original position if the condition were not there. If a ball strikes the post or fence the shot must be replayed. Thank you to all who participated in the events during August. I would also like to thank the outside and inside golf staff as they have endured the heat outside and my bad singing inside. Thank you for your hard work. If there is anything that our staff can do to make your experience here at The Jeremy better, please let us know. See you on the first tee, Jake Hanley, PGA First Assistant Golf Professional Certified PGA Professional (Retail and Golf Operations)

To sign up please contact the Golf Shop (435) 649-2700 or (801) 531-9000 Cancelations are required 24 hours in advance.
