Like a great, airtight math formula, there is a simple, impeccable blogging formula, that, when followed, makes you an authority in your field quickly... You don’t just blog about anything. Instead, you blog for targeted buyers, targeting the people in your niche. You’re not just trying to attract a general crowd, you’re writing directly and talking directly to the people who’re seeking what you have. Now the cool thing about online stuff and MLM and network marketing is that what you have for them is educational. The way you deliver it is your personality. So deliver! But, as with anything human, the effective blogging formula is a balance of both science and art. The science in this case is A) Targeting buyers B) Providing VALUE C) Producing content consistently The art is tailoring it to your voice, writing in your voice.

The Winning Authority Blogging FormulaSource: http://yourbrainonyou.com/simple-winning-blogging-formula/By Drew Doggett

In my experience as a (wannabe) mathematician I wanted to have a tight formula, a “winning” formula. I was always looking for holes or inconsistencies or falsehoods in each problem.

Good math is airtight. Bad math, faulty formulas… they just don’t work. They’re not even real!

The authority blogging formula I teach is a winner. It’s airtight. It works. I’ll prove it.

And here it is:

You don’t just blog about anything. Instead, you blog for targeted buyers, targeting the people in your niche.

You’re not just trying to attract a general crowd, you’re writing directly and talking directly to the people who’re seeking what you have.

Now the cool thing about online stuff and MLM and network marketing is that what you have for them is educational.

The way you deliver it is your personality. So deliver!

But, as with anything human, the effective blogging formula is a balance of both science and art. The science in this case is:

A) Targeting buyersB) Providing VALUEC) Producing content consistently

The art is tailoring it to your voice, writing in your voice.

Many people don’t know how to do this. And because they don’t know, they don’t try.

But we didn’t learn to ride a bike, or swim, or play poker, or cook, or read or write without trying.

Going through the process of learning.

I see way too many people behave as though God’s work is done, as though he stopped creating, as though you learn to walk, ride a bike, drive a car, write, read, and you’re done… as though the miracle process of life and creation ended two thousand years ago.

I believe that we are living “God-accelerated” times. He/She/Source is still creating and will always be creating.

There is no end to creation.

And it’s YOUR responsibility and privilege to create your life.

That means struggle. That means sprouting and growing. So that means embracing pain and discomfort as a part of life.

The seed’s casing splits and bursts apart so the plant within can grow up through the dank, dark dirt into the light and from there bloom and fruit.

Creation involves destruction… and from a human standpoint, that usually means pain and discomfort.

And at the risk of sounding blasphemous to too many people who take this sort of thing way too seriously… I say, each and every one of us is God. Basically.

Created in the image of Him/Her, we were created with the power to create.

YOU are the master of your fate; the captain of your soul.

So creating your life is in fact your responsibility and your right. It’s also your privilege. And also, you can create whatever you want within the realm of your soul (which is YOU, the animator, the spirit, the captain, the master).

I know I just went from math to blogging to God and creation, to your divinity, but this is often how this stuff connects in my mind.

Back to the winning blogging formula…

Blogging to sell stuff is like a product that’s tailor-made for you. And when you blog this way — from your personality, thoroughly answering questions of your customers/buyers, you don’t have to really sell.

If you’re a dentist you sell dentistry. Your target market is people who need teeth work. That’s what you talk about; that’s what you specialize in.

And much more than any offline business, you can brand yourself online very effectively as the personality you were born with and that you continue to cultivate.

And blogging is one way to do that. The way, if you ask me. It’s free, it’s permanent, and it’s an outpouring of your soul, which makes you a better a person.

Deliver people your voice, your personality. Your creations.

Talk to them in a confident, conversational tone, like you do with your friends.

You don’t have to be flashy and you don’t have to yell louder than the next person.

What you do need to do is simply express your personality, no matter what it is, and educate folks.

Give more in use value than you receive in cash value.

This is a winning formula as a mathematician, as a math tutor, and as a blogger… this is a good, solid, winning formula.

Don’t blog generally, don’t just blog about general stuff. Make your blog thematic.

And here’s a piece of the formula that seems counter-intuitive but is absolutely, 100% true and is rooted in empirical evidence: the smaller and more narrow your niche, or theme, the faster and more easily you can dominate it and become the authority in that niche.

For instance, which niche would be easier to become an authority… “losing weight” or “losing weight after pregnancy”?

The latter, right? If you had a blog devoted to everything about losing weight after pregnancy, you’d be the authority in that niche. And you wouldn’t need all the “losing weight” people, BUT you’d still get some of their traffic.

The narrower the better. You can narrow down into any niche. There’s plenty of room. And ultimately, like creation itself, it’s inexhaustible.

In a very narrow niche, when you write with your voice and you write to inform, you need less traffic, fewer leads and fewer sales to make good money.

Why? Because they’re so laser targeted. The people that come to your site come there because you have the exact answers to the exact questions they’re looking for.

Thus, they trust you and don’t need to go anywhere else.

You can put your interests and general stuff in your informative blog posts, sure. Link to songs or cool videos once in a while that you enjoy. This expresses your personality.

Mention stuff you enjoy. Like, I’m a big Star Trek fan…

But don’t make the blog post about that stuff particularly.

Even though you can put small bits of entertaining stuff in your post that express your personality and make the post a bit more fun to read, you’re still targeting buyers, you’re targeting a specific audience, and not the whole general world, and not the people who just like popular entertainment; rather, an audience who are shopping for what you have.

Why do I bring this up? Because I use and promote Empower Network products. I am loyal to them and love them.

YET, too many people (thousands upon thousands) have been told by too many leaders to simply blog about anything and that that will make them a huge income online from their blog.

Maybe they don’t know any better and that’s why they tell them this sort of stuff. Not sure. But I think it’s bad advice.

I get that everyone should blog everyday to get into the habit of blogging, especially for those who never have before. You won’t get good at it unless you practice.

But to blog about anything?

Not only is a blog with no central theme a bit suspect in the eyes of Google — so they don’t rank your blog as well — but it can also be a bit confusing in the eyes of your visitors. If they even find it…

Don’t blog about just anything. Get targeted. That’s how it works. It’s mathematically and scientifically

sound.

At this point maybe you’re calling me names and wondering, “Then, Drew, what are you doing here on YBOY? You write about relationships, business, spirituality, changing the world… You some kinda hypocrite?”

Am I one of those guys who tells you to do one thing and then does another thing myself?

I admit, I am a bit more general in my blogging… at least on the surface. I have big plans for Your Brain on YOU.

There are a lot of subjects that fall under the personal development category. I self-ownership and spiritual awakening as the solutions to many of the problems in today’s world.

While, yes, I write about starting your business, I’m building a network of people who want to be strong, independent, and united. I’m building a network of like-minded and like-hearted people.

If someone isn’t interested in building her own business, maybe I’ll resonate with her in another of these self development categories I have.

YBOY is not all about profit. And I’m OK with that. It’s how I planned it (or did it plan me?).

YBOY’s about empowering people in all areas of their lives. It’s about opening up to life instead of resisting. Yielding to the flow of life. Shedding the ego. Figuring out life.

It’s about giving your love, accepting yourself and being yourself.

It’s about the joy of Being; about inner peace that passes all understanding.

Self-ownership. Personal sovereignty. Then stickin’ it to the status quo and changing the world.

And all of this we achieve: together.

This blog is is just going to grow and grow and grow.

Page 4: The Simple, Winning "Authority Blogging" Formula

As I said: big plans for it. I want to help as many people as I possibly can feel the power I feel within. We each have great personal power within.

I want to help you really be the master of your fate; the captain of your soul. That is very, very important to me.

Whether that’s in business or not…

One thing I’ve learned is that when you affect one area, or get one new discipline, it affects ALL areas.

There are few things that I’ve found more empowering than being my own boss, setting myself free, earning “freedom money” (http://yourbrainonyou.com/squeeze/?blogging-formula-pdf) to do what I want with my life.

Plus, it’s damn satisfying to know how to rank on page one of Google. For anything.

We don’t need to compete with each other in any of these niches. All niches are deep enough and plentiful enough to support everyone, thousands of times over.

Summing Up

The impeccable authority blogging formula is this:

• Write for buyers

• Deliver all the answers to the questions they’re asking

• Use your personality

• Blog consistently

This will make you an authority in your niche. You will achieve fame and sales. You will grow better, smarter, sexier, sleeker, faster.

I promise. It’s scientifically sound. There’s no way around it; no way it can fail.

What a formula, huh?
