The side Effects of Working Long Hours on Computer? There are numerous side‐effects of working on the computer or Laptop for long hours.
1. The first side‐effect would be that it affects your eyes. It's very logical that when you
keep your eyes fixed to the screen for so long, it affects your eyes. There is a reason
why whenever we are sitting very near the television set, our parents tell us that
we'll ruin
our
eyes.
Same
is
the
case
with
the
computer.
The
rays
coming
out
of
the
monitor aren't good for the eyes.
2. Other than the rays not being good for the eyes, the eyes begin to hurt if they are
glued to the screen for long. Your eyes need some rest too and when they have been
in use for long, concentrating hard enough, they get tired and start hurting.
3. Then you can have a stiff back since sitting in an upright position for so long can give
you backaches and pain all over your body. Your butt might hurt because it has been
in the same position for long and then your legs might hurt too.
a. Backbone problem b. Soreness in the back, butt and neck
c. Handwriting style change due do clicking the mouse continuously, while
playing games
d. Knee problem, due to the folded condition for prolonged hour
4. Your wrist begins to hurt after holding the mouse for so long. You strain you neck by
not giving it any rest.
5. Working long hours on a computer without any breaks can have a serious effect on
your
health.
I
personally
work
from
home
on
my
computer
every
single
day
and
I
have experienced a number of problems.
There are no Preventions or remedies but you can minimize the Pain: 1. First and foremost point is ‐ if you have an outdated VDU (Monochrome) or CRT
(Cathode Ray Tube monitors); please change it to LCD or LED to prevent eye strain,
Electricity drain and to prevent Global warming.
2. Secondly always sit directly in front of the monitor, not off to one side and the top of
the monitor should be at eye level. If it is too high or too low you will begin to
experience soreness
in
your
neck.
3. If you do all of that you may still have problems with parts of your body because
some things like carpal tunnel syndrome (compression of the median nerve in your
wrist) can be worsened by several non‐work related factors. (I.e. Smoking, obesity,
pregnancy, high blood pressure, hobbies).
4. Try not to sit at a desktop/Laptop computer for hours upon hours without taking
breaks. At least stand up and move around for a few minutes each hour.

5. Turn your head and eyes once in 15 minutes
6. Never drink or chew anything near Computers. You may upset your health as well as
your costly Computers. If any liquid spill on Keyboard or Computer it will spoil the
computer and the spillage of eatables, (burgers / pizza) will draw the attention of
Ants, which later eat away the Keyboard membrane and Hard disk sealing lacquer
7. So if you go for Tea or snacks away from Computer room, you are resting your body
and saving the Computer indeed.
8. Many computer users lose their temper and Health, in search of any old file / data
already stored in the computer (Hard disk or Pen drive or CD/DVD)
9. Always create an Excel file, like telephone index. Whenever you store any important
data, please do index it with date, folder /file name, drive or partition name, Pen
drive or CD/DVD name and Label the DVD accordingly.
10. This saves your time and effort in retrieving the data in no‐time and your Heart
burning stress. (Use Ctrl + F to find out data even in the huge index) Stress kills
humans worse than any other disease in the world. Recently you would have read in
Newspaper or watched in TV News that how an IT Guy killed himself and his family
members, due to STRESS, that too from major IT Company.
11. Not only Apple and Garlic keeps you away from your Doctor. A stress free working
day will enhance your memory power and extend your Life warranty, and best part
is, it will enhance your marital life with your spouse, without any extra Medicare.
12. While driving at Nights, please use
Low Beam.
Scientific
studies
proved
that
high
beam Head lights cause potency problems in Men’s life. That’s why late night home
returners normally run behind Midnight doctors for Children & Consummation.
13. The Late hours’ stress along with the High beam, nitrogen powerful lights, penetrates
the opposite motorists and causes lot of problems. If you use High Beam opponent
too will use it, to bless you with the above mentioned problems. Please write about
