It is a domestic animal which has a small head, long neck, long legs and a hump on its back. It is called “The Ship of Desert” as it can walk through and without water for many days. It eats leaves and branches of the tree. The camel can live up in the desert of the Middle East and Africa to 30-40 years on the average. It can carry heavy loads and draws carts. It is obedient to its master. It is meek animal with great patience. It has a very big bag in his stomach. It stores water and food in the hump. In fact, these humps are so efficient that a camel can go for up to several months with no food. Its feet are padded. These pads help it in walking or running on the sand. It cannot sink in the sand. It can warn man of a possible storm. When storm comes, it lies down. It cries when it is being loaded.
