It is made up ofthe eyeball and protected by theeyebrows, eyelids and eyelashes. Process of sight1.Light goes through the cornea.2.Light passes through the pupil , the openingof the iris.3.Light passes through the lens which focusesthe image on the retina.4.The information in the retina travels to thebrain through the optic nerve. 9. SMELL -The nose is the organ of smell. Thereceptors of smell are in the pituitarygland ,inside the nostrils. 10. HEARINGThe ear is the organ of hearing.It has three parts: the outer ear, the middle ear and the inner ear.-The middle ear includes the ear andthe ear canal. -The middle ear includes the eardrumand the small bones.-The inner ear includes the cochlea and the auditory nerve. 11. Process of hearing 1.First the outer ear receives sounds.2.Then the middle ear changes sounds into vibrations.3.Finally the inner ear changesvibrations into nerve impulses that go to the brain. 12.
