The St. Stanislaus Basket Ball team met Pascagoula’s team this last Sunday on the St. Stanislaus grounds, where a hot contest took place. The Pasca- goula boys worked hard to regain their lost laurels, but it was no use; St. Stanislaus’s Tigers were too much for them. Ample proof may be seen in the following results:— ST. STANISLAUS. Goals. Forwards— Field. Foul. Abadie 4 I Ferry 3 Guards J. Wilbert.... 0 Tlrcult 0 Center— Beaulllou 11 PASC4GOULA. Forwards— J. Hos 2 0 Pelham 3 Guards— P. Our boys were either blind or too slow, for the game resulted in a total defeat of our boys. Don’t give up the ship, boys; you can’t always win, Brother Maurice, who was elected provincial to succeed Brother Isidore, visited the college during the week. Of course, he could not come over with- out being asked for a holiday, which, we are glad to say, was readily granted. The students all join in congratulat- ing Brother Maurice for the honors which have lately been bestowed on him, and also hope that his term will be one of success. Creighton Moss, one of the students of our college, has returned from a few days’ stay in the Crescent City, Hope you have enjoyed yourself, “Old Boy”! The next debate will be held this coming Saturday between the seniors and juniors. ,The subject will be quite an interesting one for the fair sex. “Should Women Be Allowed to Vote?” is the famous subject. Of course, the “old reliable grade” will take the wo- man’s side. St. Aloysius’ Juniors will be here to play St. Stanislaus’ Juniors Sunday, December 8, 1912. All are invited to attend, it being “ladles’ day”. COLLEGE DOPE. Our good friend, R. Fortier, alias “Kuntry”, seems to be affected by the foggy weather these days. He has what might be termed a “mood”, and when in that state he resembles one who has parted with the “sweetest little girl in all the land”. When standing against the fence he resembles a mummy. A debate was held in one of the class- rooms several days ago between the two world-famous debaters, J. Leßlanc and B. Dufresne, Leßlanc assumed the negative, while Dufresne defended the affirmative. The question was, “Can Crawfish Be Caught in Bayou Lafourche?” It was quite interesting to hear those two renowned “gumbo jabbers” debate. It was brought to an abrupt end by the “master of ceremo- nies”, the V. P. It is a mighty good thing that Joe Wilbert does not get anew suit case of ten. On the last basket ball trip he happened to buy a leather bag. When returning that night he stood up in the coach and yelled with all his might, “Look at my new suit case”. He looked like a raving maniac, and a Jew from Mobile was heard to remark, speaking of Joe, “Vere did you gib dat animal at!” Felix Blanchard, or “Old T-e-e”, was very disappointed last Sunday.. He was heard to say, “I am sorry theft the convent girls didn’t come overt’* “Wonder who is she, “Tub” I” “The Gold Dust Twins,” Benjamin and Severn, are still very comical boys. Severn was telling the boys the other day, “I am going to get a little hat like Badie’s when we go to New Or- leans for Christmas”. The Junior team, also called the sec-ond team, went to New Orleans, wherethey met the St. Aloysius Juniors. Itwas no use. Our boys were either blindor too slow, for the game resulted in atotal defeat of our boys. Don’t give upthe ship, boys; you can’t always win,

Brother Maurice, who was electedprovincial to succeed Brother Isidore, visited the college during the week.Of course, he could not come over with-out being asked for a holiday, which,we are glad to say, was readily granted.

The students all join in congratulat-ing Brother Maurice for the honorswhich have lately been bestowed onhim, and also hope that his term will beone of success.

Creighton Moss, one of the studentsof our college, has returned from a fewdays’ stay in the Crescent City, Hopeyou have enjoyed yourself, “Old Boy”!

The next debate will be held thiscoming Saturday between the seniorsand juniors. ,The subject will be quitean interesting one for the fair sex.“Should Women Be Allowed to Vote?”is the famous subject. Of course, the“old reliable grade” will take the wo-man’s side.

St. Aloysius’ Juniors will be here toplay St. Stanislaus’ Juniors Sunday,December 8, 1912. All are invited toattend, it being “ladles’ day”.

COLLEGE DOPE.

Our good friend, R. Fortier, alias“Kuntry”, seems to be affected by thefoggy weather these days. He has whatmight be termed a “mood”, and whenin that state he resembles one who hasparted with the “sweetest little girl inall the land”. When standing againstthe fence he resembles a mummy.

A debate was held in one of the class-rooms several days ago between thetwo world-famous debaters, J. Leßlancand B. Dufresne, Leßlanc assumedthe negative, while Dufresne defendedthe affirmative. The question was,“Can Crawfish Be Caught in BayouLafourche?” It was quite interestingto hear those two renowned “gumbojabbers” debate. It was brought to anabrupt end by the “master of ceremo-nies”, the V. P.

It is a mighty good thing that JoeWilbert does not get anew suit case often. On the last basket ball trip hehappened to buy a leather bag. Whenreturning that night he stood up in thecoach and yelled with all his might,“Look at my new suit case”. Helooked like a raving maniac, and a Jewfrom Mobile was heard to remark, speaking of Joe, “Vere did you gibdat animal at!”

Felix Blanchard, or “Old T-e-e”,was very disappointed last Sunday..He was heard to say, “I am sorry theftthe convent girls didn’t come overt’*“Wonder who is she, “Tub” I”

“The Gold Dust Twins,” Benjaminand Severn, are still very comical boys.Severn was telling the boys the otherday, “I am going to get a little hatlike Badie’s when we go to New Or-leans for Christmas”. Poor boy! you.will haye to go pretty deep in ycuwpocket to purchase that hat; uafeea*that reduction of 45c can be had,
