Letter from the Editor

Yes I know. It’s been a long time since

the last newsletter. Sometimes we can

allow life to get in the way and end up

neglecting the things that bring us

closer as family. I am working harder

to devote more time to the things that

enrich our lives. I ask that you join

with me in keeping the newsletter roll-

ing. Many of us only see each other

once a year and don’t have facebook to

keep up with our special life events.

Please send updates on your family to

let us know how

you’re doing. You

won’t believe how

much of a blessing

it will be to some-

one’s life.

We know we all

like to brag on our

kids, and we also

deserve some rec-

ognition for ourselves on our accom-

plishments. Graduations? Awards?

Promotions? Births? Prayer requests?

Upcoming family events? We will

gladly accept and share it all! Send it

to [email protected] or

[email protected].

Thank you all for bearing with me!

Every year is a special time to cele-

brate another year in the life of our

eldest family members. Here are a

few of the celebrations that took place

this year.

M.D. Phillips celebrated his 102nd

birthday on March 8, 2012. A cele-

bration was held at his church in Do-

ver, Delaware.

Victoria Nephew celebrated her 99th

birthday on May 4, 2012. A celebra-

tion was held at her home on the

Broadlevel in Ludowici, Georgia.

Canzola Scott celebrated her 89th

birthday on February 18, 2012. A

celebration was held at her home in

Hinesville, Georgia.

Golden Circle Celebrations

Facebook can be a wonderful tool for sharing old

family photos. Here is a photo that was found on

Tamala Scott’s page. See any familiar faces? Old

family photos help us remember, document and

educate other family members about the rich his-

tory of the Scott-Phillips Family. If you have an old

photo, upload it to facebook, send an e-mail to

[email protected] or mail a copy to

Summer Addo, 4040 Stillwater Drive, Duluth, GA

30096. I will also post these to the website.
