Steve Frank is a longtime political and human rights activist who believes Freedom is a human right. He is one of the most well informed and respected Cali-

fornia conservatives.

He is publisher and editor of the California Political News and Views (CPNV), a newsletter with over 20,000 email subscribers. Mr. Frank is also a Senior Executive Editor of the California Political Review .

For the past 50 years Mr. Frank has worked on behalf of conservative, constitu-tional candidates, from water districts to president. He founded the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, is past president of the California Repub-lican Assembly, is a past board member of the California Republican Party, and has held many other political positions.

Currently, Mr. Frank advises campaigns and causes on “Netroots”, the use of the Internet for building the base, moving the message, broadening the reach of phone banks and voter contact, etc. by promotion of ground support efforts.

He assists in the development of volunteer organizations like People of Faith in support of candidates and causes, including creating coalitions. Mr. Frank advise candidates on local political issues, leadership and potential support.

Welcome to our newest Board Member, Bee Hylinski, which was effective January 2016. Ms. Hylinski graduated from Vassar in 1963 and moved to the Bay Area in 1975. In the following 20 years, she obtained a law degree and an MBA in Tax from Gold-en Gate University, and practiced law for 17 years in Walnut Creek, specializing in Tax, Estate Planning and Probate Law.

After retirement in 1997, Bee became an artist and author. In 2012, she published “Contract Year: a Baseball Novel.” Bee and

her husband Ralph joined RCR immediately when they moved to Rossmoor last year. In addition, Bee is an active member of Blackhawk Republican Women. Please join the Board in welcoming Bee as a Director at Large.

Hello Rossmoor Republicans!

It is truly a pleasure to become your President during this most important election year. First, let me give a big shout-out and thanks to Pam Parsons for the tireless efforts she has put forth not only as our past President but also, for all the other work she has done for our Club. We have become one of the largest Republican Clubs in the East Bay under her direction!

We have ten months to get ready for the November elections and, hopefully, our enthusiasm will lead to a large Republican turnout bringing victory. Between now

and November, we will be hearing from main-stream media pundits telling us to become more like Democrats in order to win.

Like many of you, I did not anticipate spending my Golden Years as an activist. However, the never ending onslaught from the Progressives that now control the Democratic Party, coupled with the big spending Republican Congress, requires our full attention. You may disagree, but our elected Re-publican majorities in both the House and Senate, have demonstrated that they offer NO substan-tive opposition to Obama’s fundamental transformation of this nation.

In California, our own Tom Del Beccaro faces an uphill fight to win Senator Boxer’s seat. I hope you will join in sharing Tom’s conservative viewpoints with others as well as providing him financial sup-port.

The fascinating story of internationally noted physicist Stephen Hawking. In the 1960s, future physicist Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) falls in love with fellow collegian Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones).

At 21, Hawking learns that he has motor neuron disease. Despite this , he begins an am-bitious study of time, of which he has very little left, according to his doctor.

This film was nominated for Oscars 2015 Best Picture and Eddie Redmayne, who plays Stephen Hawking, received the Best Actor award.

The movie is 2hr 3 min, is rated PG-13 & will be shown with English language captions.

Barak Obama's lame (brain) duck presidency trun-dles downhill to an agonizing close. Meanwhile, his taste for the theatre of the absurd has reached new heights. As Thomas Sowell recently observed, Obama's emoting co-efficient went deliriously postal at the meticulously chore-ographed public unveiling of his new Executive Order on gun control. No piece of scenery was left un-chewed, and Sowell wryly pointed out that the President's Olivier-like performance had inevitably trumped Trump's thespian pretentiousness.

To what end? An attempt to distract us from the ugliness of the far-flung wasteland created by his eight year Administration? This ploy would only play well among the pant-wetting faithful who are, to a per-son, congenitally ignorant of either how far America's super-power cachet has been depleted, or of the consequences. But, by golly, they respond, we do have a (half) black President - a giant step forward in the march to-ward the Promised Land of the Truly Diverse.

Perhaps the President felt that his transparently shallow display added another dimension to his legacy. Now, that's just being greedy. He has already stock-piled his legacy with disputable, so-called facts: He saved the U.S. economy (and, therefore, the world's); he gave us exemplary uni-versal health care coverage; he brought the boys home, leaving happiness and contentment behind them.

His worst legacy of all recently materialized in Paris. There, he clearly staked a claim to his new role in post-presidential life. Namely, that of the Great Dictator, an all-powerful world leader in The Fight Against Evil Car-bon, No Matter What It Takes. This is no second coming of Al Gore. In-stead, this will be a Supreme Being with a capacity for greater deception and cunning, characteristics that bode well for success in any political are-na. Truth is, if this metamorphosis actually occurs, then, for the rest of us, the prospect of a nuclear war with Iran will probably look a lot more attractive as a strategic alternative!
