Computer Control Systems S.A. (CCS)was established in 1987 in Athens, Greece. Itsprincipal activities are:
The creation of innovative and commercial software applications in twodifferent domains: Structural Engineering and Health Care Informatics.
Structural design services for steel and composite civil engineeringstructures.
The extensive expertise of the sectors in which we operate, combined with highlyskilled scientific and technical personnel and consistent after-sales support, ensurecustomer satisfation and long - term collaboration.
CCS has a strong commitment for quality in the design, development and support ofits products and is certified with ISO 9001:2008 since 1999 for “Design/DevelopmentInstallation and Support of Information Technology Products and Solutions andElaboration of Applied Engineering Studies”. CCS has also a subsidiary office inParis-France and an extensive network of collaborating partners.
The Engineering Division of CCS is unique for its commitment in serving the steelindustry, and has gained an excellent reputation for the high level of expertise, theinnovation in software, and the quality of services and engineering studies. We have managed to blend a multi-disciplinary staff ofstructural engineers, IT specialists, steelwork professionals in the most efficient andproductive team of expert people. We are proud of the educational level, skills andexpertise of our human resources. The majority of our people have university andpost-graduate degrees. Dissemination of knowledge, encouragement of innovativeideas and teamwork are major motivating principles for our staff.
Having a business legacy of more than 20 years, we have become experts in steeland composite structures. CCS has many years of experience in the domain of steeland composite bridges,generated from numerous designstudies delivered by the Design Office team and thedevelopment of special software applications for specificbridge engineering tasks.
The systematic collaboration with the Frenchorganizations SNCF and SETRA (Service d'EtudesTechniques de Routes et Autoroutes), has assisted CCS to acquire a broad expertisein various aspects of the design of railway, road bridges and footbridges.
The expansion of high speed railways in Europe was an opportunity to participate innumerous dedicated analysis projects such as the dynamic interaction between thebridge structure and train cars during high speed train access.
Bridge design services (calculations and drawings), is a major activity of the DesignOffice team, with an emphasis on steel and composite bridges. Our expertise includesstudies of bridges with exceptional specifications (architectural or structural), whereadvanced FEA computations were necessary.

With over 25 years of experience in steel and composite constructions, we are veryproud of the high level of expertise we have acquired. Our software has been used inthe construction of thousands of projects and is renowned for the accuracy of itscalculations and the rigorous application of French or European standards.
Some of the most prestigious works, which were built during the Olympic Games inAthens in 2004, have been studied using our software, as was a large number ofbridges for the new TGV lines in France. We have also implemented comprehensiveIT solutions for the study of metal structures covering all stages of the process, fromconception to production drawings and CNC machine data files.
Designing the future - CCS Cloud Solutions
Cloud computing is now evolving like never before, with companies of all shapesand sizes adapting to this new technology. Industry experts believe that this trendwill only continue to grow and develop even further in the coming few years.
Cloud solutions is probably the most cost efficient method to use, maintain andupgrade. Traditional desktop software costs a lot in terms of finance. Adding upthe licensing fees for multiple users can prove to be very expensive for theestablishment concerned. The cloud, on the other hand, is available at muchcheaper rates and hence, can significantly lower the clients’ expenses. Besides,there are many one-time-payment, pay-as-you-go and other scalable options available, which makes it veryreasonable for the clients. Mixte Design CS for the pre-design of road and railway composite bridges and STEELConnections Design CS for the connections design according to EC and AISC are now offered by CCS as cloudsolutions.
CCS offers customers the ease of release of computational resources required to accomplish their work. Userscan design their models, using CCS freely provided software and pay only for the solving time required. Jobsand projects are uploaded to the cloud solving service were CCS solvers take over and produce results. The useris able to download and see the results from each job/project in any place that an internet connection is available.
