This is the start: It begins to drip from the little tank at the top.

Here, behind the gray cover there is an anode but it is totally covered by lime.

Here is pictures from inside the tank which was donated by Kaj in no.9

Here you can see the magnesium anode placed in the tank. It should have been a smouth surface metal bolt. This one does not work any longer and should have been replaced after one or two years no matter how much the house has been used.

This picture is from the inside of the water tank. Here you can see the rust in the weld due to the lime cover of the anode. Beside of this, the condition of the steel is good so I will try to repair the damaged places in my tank with polyuretan / fiberglass.

The Ezinc tanks are great tanks but they need maintenance.

This is how the heating element looks like because of the cover of lime. This makes the thermostat work failure. The water will boil until the plastic ball in the upper tank is destroyed and the water will over flow.

Those of you who have not yet had a leakage from your water tanks: replace your anode as soon as possible! If you already have a new Ezinc tank, make sure to replace the anode on time.

I believe my dripping tank at the roof of no. 6 still can have a long life. (Not this one on the garage floor.)

Through this hole I hope to coat the leeking point with polyuretan. With maintenance and replacing of the anode it will be as good as new for many years to come.

This is the two component polyuretan from Polisan I will use, bought at Tekzen.

Here is a product that might help all of us. If it works it will stop the lime from sticking to all surfaces.
