When she was six years old Kiri stood on a chair and sang into the microphone of a provincial radio station Twenty years later international audiences were standing up from their chairs and giving ovations to one of the most beautiful soprano voices on the world music scene
Besides conquering opera houses and concert halls on every continent her prodigious recording output includes Christmas music classic and folk songs oratorio concerts with the worldrsquos principal orchestras seventeen major operas music theatre and offerings from composers including George Gershwin Cole Porter and Paul McCartney
Kiri was created a Dame in 1982 and has been awarded both the Order of Australia and the Order of New Zealand She is an Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Music and Honorary doctorates have been awarded to Dame Kiri from both Oxford and Cambridge universities
Performing with her on the piano is Gary Matthewman who has been described by The Times and The Independent as lsquomovingly perceptiversquo and lsquoquick-witted and is now established as one of Britains leading song pianists
Gary has made numerous live broadcasts and recordings for BBC Radio 3 and his recording of Schubertrsquos Winterreise with Matthew Rose for Stone Records was released early this year

Tasmin Little has firmly established herself as one of todayrsquos leading international violinists She has performed on every continent in some of the most prestigious venues of the world including Carnegie Hall Musikverein Concertgebouw Philharmonie Vienna Konzerthaus South Bank Centre Barbican Centre and Royal Albert Hall Lincoln Center and Suntory Hall
Tasmin is an exclusive recording artist for Chandos Records Her recording of the Elgar Violin Concerto with Sir Andrew Davis and the Royal National Scottish Orchestra garnered enormous international critical acclaim and was awarded the Criticrsquos Choice award in the 2011 Classic BRIT awards Her recording of the Walton Violin Concerto released in April 2014 with BBC Symphony Orchestra and Edward Gardner has also attracted outstanding reviews including being selected as Album of the Week by the Sunday Times and Recording of the Month (June 2014) by BBC Music Magazine
Tasmin Little is an Ambassador for The Princersquos Foundation for Children and the Arts is a Fellow of the Guildhall of Music and Drama an Ambassador for Youth Music and has received Honorary Degrees from the Universities of Bradford Leicester Hertfordshire and City of London
In June 2012 Tasmin Little was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queenrsquos Diamond Jubilee Birthday Honours List for Services to Music

When she was six years old Kiri stood on a chair and sang into the microphone of a provincial radio station Twenty years later international audiences were standing up from their chairs and giving ovations to one of the most beautiful soprano voices on the world music scene
Besides conquering opera houses and concert halls on every continent her prodigious recording output includes Christmas music classic and folk songs oratorio concerts with the worldrsquos principal orchestras seventeen major operas music theatre and offerings from composers including George Gershwin Cole Porter and Paul McCartney
Kiri was created a Dame in 1982 and has been awarded both the Order of Australia and the Order of New Zealand She is an Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Music and Honorary doctorates have been awarded to Dame Kiri from both Oxford and Cambridge universities
Performing with her on the piano is Gary Matthewman who has been described by The Times and The Independent as lsquomovingly perceptiversquo and lsquoquick-witted and is now established as one of Britains leading song pianists

When she was six years old Kiri stood on a chair and sang into the microphone of a provincial radio station Twenty years later international audiences were standing up from their chairs and giving ovations to one of the most beautiful soprano voices on the world music scene
Besides conquering opera houses and concert halls on every continent her prodigious recording output includes Christmas music classic and folk songs oratorio concerts with the worldrsquos principal orchestras seventeen major operas music theatre and offerings from composers including George Gershwin Cole Porter and Paul McCartney
Kiri was created a Dame in 1982 and has been awarded both the Order of Australia and the Order of New Zealand She is an Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Music and Honorary doctorates have been awarded to Dame Kiri from both Oxford and Cambridge universities
