We have some exciting events planned for
this fall. Lori Hernandez, a Baby Lock
educator, will be sharing serger knowledge
with us for a three day class in October.
This is a great time to test drive the fabulous
functions of the Baby Lock serger-no sewing
room should be without one! Cathy Brown ,
another Baby Lock educator, joins us in
November. This two day event covers the
Baby Lock Crown Jewel and computer
program and free motion on the Tiara and
Crescendo. You can quilt no matter what
machine you have. Ashley Jones from DIME
will also be back in November to cover
more embroidery and quilting techniques,
along with software.

Happy Sewing
Fall is quickly approaching. Kids are on their
way back to school, so it’s time for all of us
to get back to quilting classes. We have new
classes and clubs on the September schedule-
there’s something for the very beginner as
well as the advanced sewer. There is lots that
can be done on the Scan N Cut and we have
some new classes coming up for that too.
Fall is also the time for conventions. I just
returned from Brother Convention, Baby
Lock convention is coming up the end of
August, and Viking convention is in early
October. It is a whirlwind of excitement
viewing and learning about the innovative
machines and new products. Brother
introduced Persona, a single needle free
arm embroidery machine that includes a cap
hoop! The Dream Frame, a fabric
management system was also introduced. I
am excited for you to see and test drive
them in the shop! I know Baby Lock will be
introducing the Alliance, a single needle free
arm embroidery machine. I can’t wait to see
what else they have in store for us. Viking
has started their teaser campaign for the
“Epic”. Sign up on
