D working as Senior Assistant Professor was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Pharmaceutical Sciences by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH), Telangana on 19th August, 2015 for research work entitled “Novel methods to improve permeation of drugs in transdermal drug delivery”. She carried out her research work under the guidance of Dr. P.K. Lakshmi, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics. She has 9 years of teaching and 7 years research experience. She has published 18 research articles in several national and international journals of repute. She has attended and presented research works at various international and national conferences. The students were shown the various formulation, R&D facilities and the processes were explained by the scientist Mr. Sridhar Reddy, Head Production. The total unit operations and functions were also explained by audio-video presentation. The students have gained technical knowledge and personal exposure to various machinery involved in the formulation methodology. The visit was accompanied by the staff Dr. K.Latha, Dr. R. Padmavathi, Mr. S. K. Naseeb Basha, Mr. P. Ravi Kumar and Coordinated by Mr. N. Raghavendra Babu. Forty (40) M. SEMINARS AND CONFERENCES ATTENDED BY STUDENTS About 40 students of B. Pharm participated in Quiz, Table Tennis (Boys & Girls), Volley ball & Cricket and various other competitions at National level student PHARMAFEST -2K16 organized by Bharat Institute of Technology, Hyderabad during

the IIP welcomed the students and faculty. Dr. Chakraborthy introduced about the institution and emphasized the importanceof packaging and its quality control in Pharmaceutical industry. Later various quality control testing laboratories such as physicochemical quality testing laboratories, transport package testing and simulation labs were shown and explained few working procedures to the students. Students were exposed to new technology and gained knowledge in packaging and its quality control. The visit was coordinated by Dr. R.Padmavathi and Dr. K. Naresh.
