The proceeds from this tournament help a number of Rotary service projects in our community. Our two largest projects are our Scholarship Program and Early Act First Knight (EAFK). The Rotary Club of Cedar Creek awards a minimum of five $1,000 scholarships annually. With a successful golf tournament that number could certainly increase this year! The Rotary Club of Cedar Creek has also partnered with BISD and Bluebonnet Elementary School to introduce EAFK to over 400 Elementary School kids this year. EAFK’s unique approach of teaching ethics to young people creatively integrates the live-action theme of noble knights and chivalry with Rotarian service ideals. Highlighting the exciting theme of knightly champions, EAFK instructs, motivates and equips students to seek high knightly standards and personal excellence, through which they can better serve their communities through knowledge, wisdom and compassion.
