Transcript of The proceeds from this tournament help a number of Rotary service projects in our community. Our two...
The proceeds from this tournament help a number of Rotary service projects in
our community. Our two largest projects are our Scholarship Program and Early
Act First Knight (EAFK).
The Rotary Club of Cedar Creek awards a minimum of five $1,000 scholarships
annually. With a successful golf tournament that number could certainly
increase this year!
The Rotary Club of Cedar Creek has also partnered with BISD and
Bluebonnet Elementary School to introduce EAFK to over 400 Elementary
School kids this year. EAFK’s unique approach of teaching ethics to young people creatively integrates the live-action theme of noble knights and
chivalry with Rotarian service ideals. Highlighting the exciting theme of
knightly champions, EAFK instructs, motivates and equips students to seek high knightly standards and personal excellence, through which they can
better serve their communities through knowledge, wisdom and compassion.

Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business,
professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as
Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical
standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and
geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto “Service Above
Self”, Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the
workplace, and throughout the world.
