ARRESTS • Kenneth Kieter, 36, Hartington, Neb., was arrested Saturday for driving under the influence (second). • Kyle Johnson, 19, Yankton, was ar- rested Saturday for the purchase, pos- session or consumption of alcohol by a minor, as well as false impersonation with intent to deceive law enforcement. • Stuart Siecke, 21, Yankton, was ar- rested Saturday for driving under the in- fluence (zero tolerance); the purchase, possession or consumption of alcohol by a minor and failure to use a seatbelt. • Casey Sommer, 20, Yankton, was arrested Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of exhibition driv- ing. • Seth McHugh, 24, Yankton, was ar- rested Saturday for driving under the in- fluence. • Kayla Prickett, 18, Yankton, was ar- rested Monday for possession of a con- trolled substance, possession of marijuana and a warrant for failure to ap- pear for an initial appearance. • John Osborn, 20, Yankton, was ar- rested Monday on a warrant for sexual contact with a person not capable of giv- ing consent. • A 15-year-old Yankton male was ar- rested Friday for the purchase, posses- sion or consumption of alcohol by a minor. • A 15-year-old Yankton female was arrested Saturday for possession of mar- ijuana and the possession of drug para- phernalia. • A 15-year-old Yankton female was arrested Saturday possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of posses- sion of marijuana. ACCIDENTS • A report was received at 6:18 p.m. Friday that a Chevy Cavalier struck a Ford Edge in the 300 block of Broadway. Esti- mated value of the damage to the vehicles was $7,600 and $3,500, respectively. The driver of the Chevy was cited for a stop sign violation. • A report was received at 12:21 p.m. Saturday of an accident in the 2300 block of Broadway. • A report was received at 2:50 p.m. Saturday of a hit-and-run incident in a parking lot at a business along East High- way 50. Estimated value of the damage to the victim’s vehicle was $1,400. • A report was received at 5:58 p.m. Saturday of a hit-and-run incident in the 2900 block of Douglas Ave. Both parties were located and exchanged information. • A report was received at 6:16 p.m. Saturday that a Ford Explorer rear-ended a Ford Fusion in the 1500 block of Broad- way. Estimated value of the damage to the vehicles was $200 and $600, respec- tively. • A report was received at 8:10 a.m. Sunday that a Dodge van collided with a Chevy pickup in the 300 block of West 23rd St. Estimated value of the damage to the vehicles was $2,500 and $1,070, respectively. • A report was received at 12:43 p.m. Sunday of a vehicle that was hit by an unknown vehicle in the 2100 block of Broadway. • A report was received at 9:59 a.m. Monday that a Jeep Cherokee struck a payloader owned by the city in the 1800 block of Burleigh St. and then left the scene. The Jeep was located. Estimated value of the damage to the vehicles was $200 and $100, respectively. • A report was received at 11:11 a.m. Monday that a van was struck by an unidentified white Chevy vehicle in the 500 block of Summit St. INCIDENTS • A report was received at 8:06 p.m. Friday that vandalism was done to a pickup in the 1100 block of East Eighth St. The vehicle had a bent license plate, a slashed tire and a bent gas door lid. Esti- mated value of the damage was $400. • A report was received at 2:47 p.m. Saturday that a boy was bit by a dog in the 700 block of West 10th St. after he reached over the fence to pet the animal. • A report was received at 8:51 p.m. Saturday of people shooting bb guns in the an alley near the 500 block of East 14th St. • A report was received at 12:49 a.m. Sunday that medication was stolen from a residence in the 1100 block of West Ninth St. A suspect was identified. • A report was received at 1:27 a.m. Sunday that kids were throwing water bal- loons at cars near the 800 block of Broad- way. • A report was received at 2:40 p.m. Sunday of a man who was assaulted in the 100 block of East Third St. on Thurs- day. • A report was received at 3:05 p.m. Sunday of a gas drive-off valued at $33 from a business in the 900 block of Broadway. • A report was received at 4:52 p.m. Sunday of barrels falling off a truck in the 2900 block of Broadway. They were re- moved prior to officer arrival. • A report was received at 9:01 p.m. Sunday of a skunk on the Fox Run Golf Course near some houses. It was located in the 2700 block of Mulligan Drive and was not alarmed by human presence. Po- lice disposed of the animal. • A wallet was found at a business in the 600 block of West 23rd St. An attempt was made to contact its owner. • A report was received at 7:38 a.m. Monday that the windows of a Dodge pickup had been broken out with rocks in the 1700 block of Locust St. Someone had also gone through the vehicle. • A report was received at 9:24 a.m. Monday of damage to the awnings of a building in the 200 block of West Third St. The owner was not sure when the dam- age occurred. He was also upset about broken glass, puke and public urination in the front and back of the business. Extra patrol was requested for the area. • A report was received at 11:21 a.m. Monday that a woman may have given a 5-year-old girl sleeping pills to make her go to sleep. • A report was received at noon of six counterfeit $10 bills discovered at a busi- ness. • A sheriff’s office report was received at 12:50 p.m. Saturday of a theft along Par Lane. • A sheriff’s office report was received at 11:40 a.m. Sunday of a case of vandal- ism along Meckling St. in Gayville.
