On a September day in 1934, Antonio Disipioestablished the Preston Hotel from his

Preston Street home. The windows on thefront read purveyors of beer and wine,

but Antonio’s kitchen became famous forits’ meatball sandwiches, pasta dishes

and its’ unique square pizzas.

The Preston Hotel, renamed The Prescott in1941, was the first hotel when enteringOttawa via The Prescott highway andconsequently the last when leaving.

Hence, our nickname “The Last Chance”was born and still used by many today.

Our home has changed with expansion over the years, but the tradition of our

hearty Italian food and our famous square pizza continues today.
