The PLAST -CONTROL computer directly controls all vacuum receivers in the system for loading each required resin. Based upon the target blend and total film length requested the system monitors, calculates and stops the individual loading of each receiver so at the end of the production cycle all receivers, storage hoppers and the gravimtric hopper is virtually empty.
· Direct control of vacuum pump & receivers
· Large annual resin savings during product changes
THE PROCESS
ADVANTAGES
n High degree of blend consistency due to the mechanical configurationn Virtually no premixed material = No segregation, No de-mixingn No mixed material to scrap at job changen Material savings through accuracy, consistency and controln User friendly, fast and easy to clean outn Improved product qualityn Repeatabilityn Independent of material bulk densityn Large Dosing range with single screw or motor
The primary material of the blend is weighed as it free flows through a center hopper mounted directly above the extruder feed throat. Additive materials are weighed and continuous auger fed or Dosed into the primary material flow. Using input target data and loss in weigh measurements, the system, when in automatic, controls the extruder and Dosing unit screw speeds to deliver the exact formulation. When the extruder output rate is changed due to process variations or production target changes, the system automatically adjusts the Dosing unit rates to maintain the target formulation percentages
n Frame styles for four or six Dosing units per extruder n ACS system has unlimited Dosing capabilityn GDC system with a maximum of nine weighed componentsn GT3 system with a total of three weighed componentsn Vacuum loading and sequencing available with Material Flow Control

The screw yields and Dosing ranges are determined with standard LD-PE material (granule size ~ 4mm, density 0,95 g/cm³). These values may be taken as a reference to choose a suitable screw type. Throughput variations may appear due to different densities, size, shape and temperature. * The minimum Dosing range of the YELLOW auger is in extended time measurement mode.
Main material must be 20% minimum of extruder throughput.
Maximum single DOSING unit should not exceed 50% of total throughput.
