The Pinnacle of Rifle-making ArtSoroka 07 To many single shot aficionados, the Gibbs Farquharson represents the ultimate in a single shot stalking rifle. The elegant sweep of the under-lever and the meticulously filed trigger guard, the beautifully scalloped loading trough and the long graceful tangs that flow into an exquisitely shaped Circassian walnut stock, make for refined form and aesthetic excellence that has been surpassed by no other. It embodies all the qualities for which fine English single shot rifles are cherished.

It was the iconic form of the Gibbs Farquharson that inspired the Soroka Rifle Co. to set out to design and build, irrespective of cost and without compromise in any facet of manufacture, the most elegant and mechanically advanced, single shot rifle action the world has known. First, we re-designed the internal mechanism so that it is significantly faster, stronger and more reliable than the originals. Next we utilised the best modern materials and technologically advanced CAD/CAM machining centres to precisely machine all the components. Finally, all the components are meticulously hand fitted to “best standards”.

By combining the best design, technology, materials and “ best grade” finishing, we have created the pinnacle in single shot perfection - the Soroka 07.

The Mechanical Design

First the Soroka 07 uses a uniquely designed in-line striker (or firing pin) design, driven by a coil spring, utilising a minature bolt action firing pin layout. This results in significantly faster lock time than the original rotating hammer design. Also, like a bolt action, it allows repeated dry firing without breakage.Second, the Soroka 07 has a fully adjustable trigger with no creep. This greatly aids in accurate shooting. Third, the Soroka 07 design uses a tang mounted safety, which blocks both the sear and the trigger. Blocking both these mechanisms provides additional security when your firearm is loaded.

The finest falling block single shot...

...ever

“If my sense of esthetics can be trusted, the Model 07 is, if not the most beautiful falling block of all time, certainly one of the top three. And if form follows function, the M07 is nigh perfect, because the unfinished sample I test-fired grouped .300 Winchester magnum factory loads well under MOA. One sample clustered under .500-inch. That’s phenomenal accuracy from any rifle, let alone a brand new, unfinished, untested single-shot sporting a never-fired barrel.”  Ron SpomerRifle EditorSporting Classics MagazineMay June edition 2011

“I’ve built over 30 classic custom rifles in the last 40 years, exclusively falling block single shots and Mausers. But the rig I love most is my newest, most expensive – a Glenn Soroka

Gibbs-style Farquharson in the venerable but still hard-hitting 300 H&H calibre....With none of the faults of the antique rifles, this modern masterpiece is as fine a model of firearms engineering as one could find. Bank vault smooth, it handles perfectly with

looks alone that could kill.”
