The Pilchuck Camera Club was organized June 12, 1964 and is a member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and the Northwest Council of Camera Clubs (NWCCC). Membership is open to any-one interested in color or monochromatic digital photography. Club meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month in the Baker Heights Social Hall, 1401 Poplar Street, Everett, WA. Pilchuck Camera Club Meeting Minutes

Meeting minutes of Pilchuck Camera Club Thursday, December 12, 2019.

President Steve called meeting to order at 7:03 pm

Welcome members and guests Dee and Jeannie

Minutes of the November 2019 meeting accepted as written and published.

Treasurer Paula reported a balance of $1436.60.

Social- Renata reported the new book is available for next year sign ups.

Sunshine-Renee reported Sonia is out due to illness and sending card around.

PSA-Results of first round PID and Travel scores posted on website.

NWCCC- Renata reports no meetings scheduled yet. Very successful conference. Hoping to get new

classes for next year.

Field Trips-Sonya reports nothing currently planned but watch Facebook for short notice field trips. Rene

reported the Snohomish solstice walk on Dec 21st along river trail is a fun photo op along with small light

parade down First Street.

VP Tracy-handed out certificates for last month’s competition placing images.

Title: Yellow Leaf

This was taken this fall during a portrait session at Swan Trails. I found the leaves

interesting but most were more brown than anything. It took a little searching but I

found one yellow leaf and placed it over some that had a bit of color. ISO 400, f.4, 1/640

97mm hand held. I took into PS and cropped square because I love symmetry and then

processed with Nik, glow and detail extractor filters at about 50% opacity.

Year End Contests

It's time for our annual Image of the Year awards. The three categories are:

Image of the Year: Any image submitted for judging (regular monthly) in 2019 in

its original submitted form. A consolidated report was sent out.

Wildflower: Must have been taken in 2019 and must be non-cultivated/domestic

Assigned Subject (Abandoned Building): Must have been taken in 2019.

These images are sent to another club for judging.

Standard sizing and naming rules apply:
