Employment Support and Resource Committee

CRESC collaborates with the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC, The South Central Workforce Investment Board, the Pennsylvania Board of Probation & Parole Harrisburg District Office, Citizens Advisory Committee to facilitate Employer breakfasts and Job Fairs The Employment Support and Re-

source Committee’s goal of the com-mittee is to bring awareness to the many benefits employers receive when they hire an ex-offender. Benefits such as: Tax Credits (WOTC) Federal Bonding Program OJT Reimbursement dollars A Dedicated Employee Third Party Accountability Program Committee The Program Committee plans the speaker(s) for the monthly meeting. Please make suggestions to Pat Stringer, Chair.

MENTORING COMMITTEE

The Mentoring Committee is under the direct supervision of Timothy White. Three locations host our

mentoring meetings.

Site #1 was developed in 2010 in collaboration with Dauphin County Probation & Parole Office and the

Work Release Center. Thursdays 6:00pm to 7:30pm

917 Gibson Blvd.

Site #2 began in collaboration with PA Probation & Parole.

Tuesdays 2:30pm to 4:00pm Wesley Union AME Zion Church

5th & Camp Street.

Site #3 was started by AMiracle4Sure in cooperation with PA DOC. Wednesdays 1 PM—2:30PM

The Communications Committee oversees www.reentrynow.org, the organization’s website as well as maintaining the CRESC Resources Directory, Newsletter and all other forms of communication.

The Housing Committee works on several fronts in attempts to facilitate the search and securing adequate housing for those reentering citizens. Meeting every first Friday morning. (See website for details)

HOUSING COMMITTEE

CRESC continually positions itself to be the leader in facilitating reentry of ex-offenders into our communities. We want to see every returning citizen be positive and productive in all they set their hearts to accomplish. Please consider joining and support-ing us in this effort. As recidivism is reduced, everyone benefits!
