THE ANCIENT ART OF DOWSING Perhaps you have heard of the water diviner at some stage or other but the art of divining / dowsing itself goes far back into the dim and distant past. Ancient shamanic peoples were highly sensitive to change in their environment. In the absence of modern technology, they learned to rely completely on their own powers of observation and sensitivity and on those of the animals, which were studied in great detail. They knew that everything had a distinctive energy field associated with it. It is their methods of finding and reading these fields, which have been passed down to us as dowsing or divining. Until very recently every locality had at least one diviner to locate the water lines for wells. These talents were also put to a myriad of other tasks, from seeking missing animals and resolving petty crime, to finding lost objects, minerals and ores. Today, divining skills are also used in widely varied disciplines, from finding water and searches, through to allergy testing, homeopathy and medical diagnosis. THE PENDULUM, YOUR INTUITION AND CONSCIOUS/UNCONSCIOUS MIND RAPPORT WORKSHOP 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pre-Registration Required. DOWSING USING A PENDULUM Dowsing teaches us how to use a few simple tools to emphasise special small movements in the hand. These movements occur automatically as our bodies sense the subtle energies emitted by everything around us. How this process actually works is still a mystery though it's reliability has surely been proven countless times through the diviner's ability to locate underground water and so on.

WHY IS DOWSING AND DIVINING SO USEFUL Dowsing skills are useful because they give us a quick reliable method of answering a great many questions. And, although the divining method is always the same, the information received can be as wide and varied as you like, since it largely depends on the nature of the questions, which are asked.

WHO CAN DOWSE? Contrary to the popular belief that only a select few possess the divining ‘gift', the vast majority of people can easily acquire this useful skill. Different people do have differing natural abilities and may, therefore, be better at applying the skill in different areas, but anyone of a patient disposition can easily learn the basics, from any of the many 'how to' books on the subject available in most bookstores.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO LEARN HOW TO DOWSE? The basic dowsing techniques themselves can be mastered after just a few hours of practise. And, once all the principles are correctly understood, any further progress comes directly from one's ongoing work. There is simply no substituting the experience to be gained through practical work in the field.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE: This workshop is hands-on and designed to give participants a working understanding of the various methods, tools, and principles of dowsing in a one-day format. Upon completion, participants are equipped to apply these dowsing skills to their own field of work and day-to-day activities as they continue to increase their experience practice

Each participant receives a pendulum to use during the class and to take home, and a certificate of completion at the end of this course.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: The workshop is designed for those wishing to learn and employ divining skills in their particular field of work. It is suitable for newcomers to this exciting art. It is also extremely helpful to those who already know the basic techniques but who could get much greater benefit from their skills by exploring the subject further, in this formal and structured way. It is a hands-on application of 'how it's done', rather than a think tank on 'why it happens'.
