• We are Beijing’s Premiere Road Bike Cycling Community for all types of roadies.

• We organize road bike training rides outside of the city and in the mountains of Beijing.

• We have road bike cyclists from:China, Belgium, the USA, Australia, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Singapore, Mongolia, The UK, Italy, France, Malaysia, Ireland, Holland, to name a few. 

• In the mountains to the West and North of the city, we cycle on roads largely devoid of traffic.We experience a car-free and scenic side of Beijing even the most hardened Beijing expat has yet to discover!

• Surrounded by the Great Wall of China and the indomitable high cliffs of the Yan Shan, Judu Shanand the Xi Shan mountain ranges, the innumerable Buddhist temples, pagodas and monastaries, and so on, our rides are a true window unto the beauty of Beijing.

What should I know about “The Peloton”?

“The Peloton” is the calling name for the road bike cycling community of Beijing.

The word itself means “a large bunch of cyclists”.

We are amateur cyclists, both competitive and leisure, and we organize road bike training, cycling expeditions and cycling competitions.

Our number 1 aim is: to develop a cycling lifestyle community in Beijing that incorporates Chinese and foreigners, riders of all ages, gender, nationality and levels.

We use English, Chinese and French as our main ways to communicate but on a bike no words are needed…!

Our aim is to help them to bike the roads and mountains of Beijing in a safe, exciting and sportive way.

We include and welcome male and female road bikers.

We welcome hardcore competitors and leisurely weekend warriors.

We divided ourselves into cycling groups based on bike speed and training objectives.Group rides vary from 50 to 150km.

The length of the cycling tours all depends on the time of year, the make-up of the groups and the circumstances.

We welcome tri- or duathletes as well as MTB’ers who prefer to ride on tarmac.

For the hardcore segment of either discipline, we suggest you link up with our brethren at Tri-Beijing and the MOB.

Community & Content

Whether road bike cycling, mountain biking, triathlon or any other hobby, our goal is to serve as your platform in China to keep abreast of local and national competitions, community events, festivals and more.

Our website hopes to become a treasure chest of collective wisdoms, insights and cycling advice.

Obviously, we will pay attention to training advice, race advice, recovery and medical advice and sports journalism.

Everyone is invited to participate and post articles or comments on the site. We invite media in the form of pictures, videos and so on to be posted as well.

We are a product of collective input and passion.

CompetitionIn collaboration with established race and festival organizers like TREK, Windspeed, Shimano and others, we aim to invigorate the competitions attendance rate and intensity.

We ourselves have plans to add some interesting and challenging cycling events this year!

Tourism in Northern AsiaChina and Mongolia are gorgeous, remote and utterly captivating places to visit. Cycling is above all a fantastic way to cover and experience the hinterlands of these 2 countries. 

Since 2008 we have partnered up with the Mongolian National Cycling Federation and have been conducting MTB expeditions in the land of Ghenghis Khan!  

Join us this year on our trips around Beijing and China and experience genuine amateur cycling tourism with us!
