The Gateway to the City of Knowledge, Sayyidina Ali (R.A.), once asked a beautiful question to the Beloved Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم“O Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلمWhat is your Sunnah?”

The beloved Messenger replied: “…Humility is my Pride..”

ن الذین یمشون على الأرض ھون حم لاماس ا وإذا خاطبھم الجاھلون قالوا وعباد الرAnd the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility,

and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!"; (25:63)

المستكبرین ◌ إنھ لا یحب verily He loveth not the arrogant. (16:23)

ر المخبتین ا وبشgive good tidings to the humble [before their Lord] (22:34)

• The Prophet (SAW) preferred to eat on the floor – as a servant of Allah سبحانھ و تعال.

• Umar رضي الله عنھمused to make this dua: “Make me small in my own eyes; make me big in the eyes of others.”
