51 Shades of GreenAction in the ArtsThe Pearce InstituteThursday 27th October 201610.30am—5pm
Creative Carbon Scotland exists to engage and support the arts sector to enable the cultural shift to a sustainable Scotland, and to build the connections between those working in the arts and those in sustainability.
This conference is our annual gathering for the green champions of arts organisations, and those working in arts and sustainability, to come together and connect on environmental concerns. With an aim to enable and encourage the sector to take the next step towards reducing carbon emissions, here you will find access to relevant expertise and inspiration of actions to take.
Creative Carbon Scotland is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation number: SC042687
Welcome to the 51 Shades of Green conference
We know that some of the biggest challenges in this area are feeling like you’re working in isolation, and coming up with ideas of what your organisation can do to reduce its environmental impact. Our speakers are your peers in the arts sector and key sustainability organisations who can help! Explore our three different spaces across the day to find out more about environmental sustainability in the arts.

Taking Action
The ideas from today are merely the starting point for taking new action in the arts sector. Use this as an opportunity to make the connections to build your networks and knowledge to take things further!
The 51 Shades of Green conference is the key annual event for the Green Arts Initiative (GAI). Formed in 2013, the GAI is a community of organisations in Scotland committed to growing the environmental sustainability of the arts and reducing their own environmental impact. It supports the sharing of relevant knowledge, ideas and experiences, and enhances the sustainability competencies of arts organisations across the country.
