Dialogue: WW: Hello friends, in this conference we are going to discuss what you think your country should get as compensation from the war, your views on the 14 points and the type of punishment Germany should receive. First we are going to start discussing what you think your country should get as compensation from the war. DLG: Hello Wilson, I think that my country, Britain, should get more territory as we won world war 1, what do you think about that?

GC: Hello friends, I think that Britain should get more territory, but France should get as much territory as Britain, as we also won the war. WW: In my opinion, USA should also have more territory. DLG: Well, so Britain and France are going to have more territory from the losers countries. But USA no because they entered later to WW1, so that it would be unfair, Do you agree? WW: OK, that seems to be fair for alls. GC: OK. WW: Now tell me your views on my 14 points, what do you think? DLG: Well, I don’t agree with some of the 14 points, but I agree with others because I want to avoid war. GC: Well, I agree with you David, I don’t agree with some of the 14 points, but If Alsace-Lorraine came back to me, I would be so happy! WW: So, after this conference we are going to check your ideas of the 14 points, and maybe we could change some points by others. But I am still thinking that the points that must not change are the ones which said this: don’t be harsh on Germany, strengthen democracy in defeated countries, give self-determination to small countries that had once been part of the European empires and international cooperation. DLG: Yes, I agree with your new idea. GC: OK, that is perfect. WW: So now, we are going to pass to the last discussion, that is the type of punishment Germany should receive from war. In my opinion, I want Germany to be punished, but not being too harsh with her. DLG: I agree with you Wilson, because I don’t want Germany to seek revenge in the future and possibly start another war. But I want Germany to lose its navy and its colonies because they threatened the British Empire. GC: I also agree with both of you, I want Germany to pay, but I don’t want Germany’s revenge. I also want Alsace-Lorraine back.

WW: OK men, in conclusion, we are going to punish Germany but we are not going to be too harsh with her, because we don’t want Germany to seek revenge in the future and possibly start another war. Also, Germany have to pay and she would have to give Alsace-Lorraine back. Thanks for coming to this conference, we are going to take into account our points of views that have been discussed in this conference. Good bye! For the video: Woodrow Wilson:
