The Pacific Venture Capital Conference & Competition (PVCC) 2013-2014 is hiring!

We are North America’s largest venture capital competition and conference. Over the years, we have provided hundreds of students with an opportunity to present business proposals and financial valuations to a panel of industry professionals from across Canada. This is an opportunity for you to broaden your skill set, build your network, and work with prominent professionals.

▪ Create the planning and visionary stage of the 2014 Competition ▪ Execute all rounds (preliminary, semi-final, final) of the competition ▪ Maintain strong relationships with competition judges ▪ Recruit and liaise with competitors from across North America ▪ Develop information package for competitors (Undergraduate & MBA)

▪ Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills ▪ Ability to handle independent responsibility; self-motivated ▪ Quick to learn and provide constructive feedback ▪ Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative, and be positive

Duties and Responsibilities

▪ Create the planning and visionary stage of the 2014 Conference ▪ Plan and oversee logistics for conference, workshops, and seminars ▪ Create campaign to attract delegates from across North America ▪ Liaise with participating professionals, finalists, and volunteers ▪ Consolidate contracts with event caterers, technicians, and hotels

▪ Demonstrated previous examples of leadership skills ▪ Strong interpersonal and project management skills ▪ Demonstrate initiative ▪ Task related, disciplined and reliable ▪ Previous experience with all Microsoft Office applications

Duties and Responsibilities

▪ Utilize conduits of marketing media, including (not limited to) CUS, Business Career Centre, and Facebook, to disseminate event information

▪ Responsible for working to ensure high attendance levels ▪ Execute an effective marketing strategy to promote competition to

undergraduate, MBA students, and industry professionals ▪ Create informational package, 2 promotional videos, and website

Skills and Qualifications

▪ Detailed-oriented ▪ Effective communication skills, both oral and written ▪ Ability to work well in a team ▪ Assets (not required): Microsoft Office, Photoshop, inDesign, Wordpress

Duties and Responsibilities

▪ Full time sponsorship procurement ▪ Maintain strong relationships with corporate sponsors, community

supporters, and participating firms ▪ Work with Director to research and contact prospective partners ▪ Attract business delegates from across North America

Skills and Qualifications
