Getting Started

What If?A hurricane came during the night and destroyed your community. Everything around you lies in ruins. There is no electricity or running water. Many homes and stores have been destroyed. The remaining stores have nothing but empty shelves and quickly closed down.

The government promises to send help. But meanwhile, your family, like many others, is without food or basic needs. People are in need of medical assistance. But no police or ambulances come to help. No one knows when help will arrive or if it will arrive too late.

Make notes about how this would affect you.• Whatqualitiesdoyouhavethatwouldhelpinthissituation?• Wouldqualitiesdoyouhavethatwouldmakethissituationmoredifficult?• Doyouthinkyouwouldchangebecauseofthistragedy?
