THE ONSET OF CANCER
DNA is the structure that contains the genetic information. Currently scientists have been studying and researching the environment's effects on DNA this fact is known as epigenetic
the repair of DNA sequences that have been altered is an indispensable mechanism control for cells which have suffered damage
EFFICIENT METHYLATING ENZYME IDENTIFIED FOR CANCER DEVELOPEMEN
Boston university medical center(january 23,2015)
EFFICIENT METHYLATING ENZYME IDENTIFIED FOR CANCER DEVELOPEMEN
• Investigators discovered that many methyl tags in cancer cells its because a hightly efficient DNA methyl transferase 1 enzymes fund in these cells.
• They worked with two type of cells (cancer and normal cells), for each one they used a mathematical equation to determinate the methylation status correlated with the enzyme present in the cells.
EFFICIENT METHYLATING ENZYME IDENTIFIED FOR CANCER DEVELOPEMEN
They are creating a combination therapy using epigenetic drugs with traditional drugs which are effective and able to reduce cancer relapse because make cancer cells susceptible and possibly kill cancer progenitor cells and drug resistance.
EFFICIENT METHYLATING ENZYME IDENTIFIED FOR CANCER DEVELOPEMEN
• Genes are transcriptionally silenced because an insulated
area which regulated enhancer and transcription factor
interactions, This area can be regulated by methylation
mechanism helping to cancer development.

I think is very important to continue studing the
enzyme action in genoma, its interaccion
and intervencion to discover what is the relation with many deseas which affect many people in the
world
Alternative DNA repair mechanism could provide better treatment for

Alternative DNA repair mechanism could provide better treatment for neuroblastoma in kids
• The most important target for investigators is to find a new treatment which help childrens who have high-risk disease, because most of them don´t survive.
• The most common cancer in kids is neuroblastoma and also the most common solid tumor outside the brain.
• In this cancer, the cells
develops from tissues that form the nervous system or in the adrenal glands.
Alternative DNA repair mechanism could provide better treatment for neuroblastoma in kids
• Its very important discover the mechanism which neuroblastoma tumors overcome DNA demage because its study gives them evidence that an atlternative repair mechanism is functional in this type of cancer.

Is very importan to work on deseas which affect the kids buecause they are the
most suceptible persons and the future scientists
who will create new forms to help the world.
Medical Utility
Medical Utility
• Is essential for physicians to be updated and know the advances in cancer research to use this knowledge for the welfare of patients.
• Also known cellular processes is critical to understand that what many diseases related to damage the genome
EFFICIENT METHYLATING ENZYME IDENTIFIED FOR CANCER DEVELOPEMEN
Discover the molecular mechanism that allow expression or silencing of genes associated with
the development of diseases, including cancer, its important to develop methods of counteracting
these mechanisms and treating deseas.

Identified that que cell can use a erroneus DNA repair pathway
promising a new target for develop therapies for kinds with
neuroblastoma
