Let’s jump straight to the conclusion—Canva is

an awesome tool! It lets you create all kinds of

graphics with just a few clicks. You don’t have to

use Photoshop for simple tasks, such as creating

pictures for your Facebook Ad.

Canva makes it amazingly simple for everyone to create professional-quality graphic designs. Its online design platform brings together a simple drag-and-drop design tool and a library of more than one million photographs, graphics, and fonts, allowing anyone to take an idea and present it beautifully in print or online. Canva can be used to design almost anything: presentations, posters, blog content, cards, online marketing materials, invitations, flyers, and so much more.

To create a design with Canva, the first step is to select a template, which is presaved with measurements for Facebook Ads, a Facebook cover, and more. You can even select your own custom size in pixels, inches, or centimeters.

Step two is to select the layout, text, background, and pictures. Everything is really simple with drag and drop. Best of all is the variety and number of stock pictures that Canva offers. They have a great number of stock pictures that you can use, and you pay only US$1 for using one. (Canva is free if you not use the stock pictures.) You can even upload your own pictures to Canva.

When you are happy with your design, it’s time for step three—publishing your picture! You can download it as an image for use on the web or a PDF for printing. It’s as simple as that!

Canva was launched in 2012, and it’s backed by the social media guru Guy Kawasaki. They are headquartered in Australia, which is a bit unusual for such a tool. Most similar tools are based in the US, but Australia has some really great businesses within social media, among them Canva.

Sarah Perez of TechCrunch wrote that Canva wants to become the default tool people use to create and collaborate on design online by offering an easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface, with access to more than a million photographs, graphics, and fonts.

Buffer will save you time, and you will avoid

many problems. With Buffer, you can manage

several social media accounts at one time and

schedule content from anywhere on the web. It

also allows you to analyze rich statistics on how

your posts perform. You can even collaborate

with team members.

The buffer functionality was the first Buffer offered. When you find content you want to share, you can add it right away to Buffer, and Buffer will then take care of when it’s shared. You can spend half an hour in the morning finding the content you want to share, and Buffer will then portion out the content throughout the day. You can preset how many times each day, which days, and what time of the day your content should go out.

You can also schedule content at a fixed time rather than just buffer the content you want to share.

With the analytics functionality, you see how your content performs.

Buffer was founded in 2010 as a way to easily schedule tweets. Within just a few years, Buffer has now become one of the leading social media management tools on the web, helping more than 1.4 million users connect with their followers every day.

Buffer functionality:

You add updates to your Buffer queue and it will be posted for you well spaced throughout the day—and at the best times.

Add different accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, Facebook pages, LinkedIn, and LinkedIn groups.

Share to all your social accounts.

The Buffer browser extension lets you Buffer any page you come across.

With analytics, you learn how many clicks, retweets, likes, and so forth that you’ve received on your updates.

“Top posts” indicate the best performing updates you’ve put out with Buffer.

Buffer offers link shortening.

You can even connect your custom bit.ly account.

Another great feature is that you can embed your campaigns everywhere. You can put your campaigns on your website, blog, and anywhere else you have a presence so that your branding across the web is uniform—not just on Facebook.

You could also integrate ShortStack with other web platforms you use, such as YouTube & Vimeo, MailChimp, Foursquare, Twitter, Google Maps, Google Analytics, SoundCloud, and Instagram.

One of the things we really love about ShortStack is how easy it is to use. You simply select a template or create the design from scratch and then drag and drop the functionality. You can preview the tab in Fan and Non-Fan version. When you are happy with the tab, you just publish it and connect it to a Facebook app. ShortStack even offers you a mobile-friendly URL so that your tabs work fine on mobile phones.
