Aklatanihan goes to MSEAF library
The MSEUF library staff helped in the
organization of MSEAF Library in Sampaloc, Quezon
as part of their Aklatanihan: an MSEUF adopt-a-
library program last July 17, 2018.
Aklatanihan: MSEUF Adopt-A Library
Program” is a community extension program of the
University libraries that provides books and other
reading materials to its adopted libraries and
organizes it. The library staff who rendered services
were Aisa Zeta, Myrna Casipit, John Erben Renigado,
Jalene Xena Tibayan and Cristian Mendoza to
Manuel S. Enverga Academy Foundation, Sampaloc,
Quezon. They sorted and rearranged the books and
library furniture to make it more conducive for
learning and more convenient to users. It has been
a whole day activity for the whole group. They were
welcomed by their School Principal, Mr. Jose Giron
Jr. and their library staff in-charge, Mrs. Haizel
Callejo.

Last June 1, 2018, the whole library
staff went to Lucena City National High
School for their Brigada Eskwela. The staff
helped in organizing and rearranging their
library. Lucena City National High School is
an adopted library of the University Libraries
since 2010. The University donated books
and helped organize it since then. Now, that
the classes will start, it is timely that the
University Libraries help in rearranging their
library to its new location beside the main
gate of the school.

headed by Dr. Rosario Villamater
together with Mrs. Marilou Tierra,
LCNHS library–in-charge worked
together in rearranging and organizing the
library. Now, it is ready to be utilized by
the students once the classes start. The
principal, Mr. Rolito Inojosa and Ms.
Jho-An Buñag, the chairperson of
Brigada Eskwela is very thankful with the
participation of MSEUF library staff.

Library welcomes
2 new SHS librarians
Information Literacy Program
for SHS teachers 2018
The University Library conducted the Information
Literacy Program for the Senior High School teachers
on July 13, 2018 at the library seminar hall .
Information Literacy Program is an annual
activity conducted by the University Libraries to orient
students and teachers about library collections and
facilities. Information Literacy aims to discuss the library
facilities, services and collection. It also aims to
strengthen students’ and teachers’ library skills and
equipped them with the necessary information to
become independent users of the library.
There were 67 Senior High School teachers who
participated in the said Information Literacy Program. It
was facilitated by Mrs. Aisa Zeta for the library and Mr.
Ryan Balmaceda for the EMRC. Mrs. Zeta discussed
the different collections, facilities and services that SHS
teachers can avail. She also informed them about the
different rules and regulations of the library which she
also requested them to impart/remind to their students.
While Mr. Balmaceda discussed rules and procedures
on how to use the different EMRC function rooms.
The University Library
welcome the newly hired librarians
namely Ms. Jalene Xena Tibayan
and Mr. Cristian Mendoza.
Ms. Jalene Xena Tibayan was
a former student assistant of the
University. She previously worked
at Maryhill College, Lucena City as
college librarian.
While Mr. Cristian Mendoza is
also a graduate of this University
and previously worked as a librarian
in St. Augustine College, Lucena
City.
They will be both assigned as
Senior High School librarians who
will look after the library needs of
the SHS students and faculty.
They will also be a part of the
growing family of EU librarians.

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, Lucena City is now offering BACHELOR OF LIBRARY AND INFOR-MATION SCIENCE under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
Who are qualified? The minimum qualification criteria of applicants to the accred-itation and equivalency program, in addition to established Filipino citizenship, should include the following: 1. Completion of secondary school program as evidenced by a high school diploma, or the Philippine Education Placement Test (PEPT) result equivalent to first year college. 2. Employment for an aggregate of at least five (5) years in the industry related to the academic degree program or discipline where equivalency of learning is sought. 3. At least twenty five (25) years old as supported by PSA au-thenticated birth certificate.
