Now that my “parts for sale” site, www.classiccarpartsclassifieds.com, is up and fully functional, I would like to extend an offer of free ads to all Mustang club members. This is an opportunity for the Mustang community to select a primary location for owners to look for those hard to find parts, without the feeding frenzy we find on eBay. You can list multiple parts and attach multiple pictures in one ad. All parts must fit the Make and Model stated in the ad heading. You can submit multiple free ads and this offer also includes the free renewal option if your parts do not sell.
This offer expires December 31, 2009.
The procedure is easy. Simply follow the steps as if you were submitting an ad and you were paying for the it. Set the text of the ad and upload your pictures. Fill in the contact information and recheck all of your information. At the bottom of the “Ad Verification” page, you will see two options, PayPal and Mail. Select Mail. This sends the ad directly to us. The next window is an invoice that you are supposed to print out and send to us with your payment. Print this invoice out but keep it as your record of your ad. If there are any questions about the ad, we need the ad ID number as a reference. At that point, click on “contact us” and send us an email with the words ”Mustang Club Free Ad” in the title line. You will receive an email from us to confirm your email address. When you respond to verify your email address, we will post your free ad on our site. That’s it and it’s that simple. We look forward to hearing from you. Cliff Mierczynski Developer and Owner www.classiccarpartsclassifieds.com email: [email protected]

September’s General MeetingMinutes
Page 5 The Accelerator
We would first like to start off and apologize for the way the election nominations came off at the September meeting. Things got a little carried away and the Board did most of the nominations. Not that this is a problem, but the general membership should have been more involved. The next general meeting will be handled a little more professionally. At the next meeting we will start with the nomination for a position and call out for any other nominations 3 times for that position. The nominations for that position will then be closed out, and we will move on to the next position and follow this procedure for each position until we are done. So please, if someone you know would like to run for a position, please nominate them; neither the Board nor anyone else should look down upon you for running for a position. These are thankless positions we take on over and above our personal lives, so believe us (the Board) when we say we would have nothing but the utmost respect for those who step up to take on a board position. Joe and Lilly Errante want us to donate for the Lee Iacocca award. The award goes to someone who has done great things in the auto industry and they want to recognize Neil. The proceeds go to charity. It may cost us ~$1000.
We discussed locations for the Board and Appreciation Dinners.
Board elections are coming up, and these are the ones we know currently planning on running: Mike Rey—President; Ken Janus—Vice-President; Phil Smith—Trustee; Craig Zygmunt—Editor; Rich Kocan—Treasurer; Sam Marra—MCA Rep; April Zygmunt—Social Director; Kathy Holcomb— Secretary; Bill Barnes—Membership; Tracey Rey—Merchandise Board members should be re-nominated at the meeting to run for their positions. We need to get the Board positions/duties on the web and in the October newsletter.
Mike Rey is working to find out about Tom Holzer Ford and why they did not come to Memories. TREASURER: Balance: $31,897.10, not including the NPD check which we just got. Last year’s balance was $36,792 at this time. We only made ~$4000 on the gate because of all the non-paying spectators. We approved a check to Ken for $2500 to print The Accelerator, Mustang Memories Edition. We are budgeting $1500 for the Appreciation Dinner. SOCIAL DIRECTOR: April’s checking Carl’s Cabin and Antonio’s for the Appreciation Dinner. There will be a caravan up to Birch Run show on Saturday, day before, with an overnight. We will meet here at Montana’s and go from here. We have the deposit in for the Hay Ride which is October 10. Scavenger Hunt is October 3. September 20 is a Mustang show in Toledo at Brondo’s Ford. TRUSTEE: Phil reminds us that we need new radios with more power. Our current ones are on their last leg. We approved a budget of $750. Mike Rey and Phil are checking into this. MEMBERSHIP: 393 members as of August 24; 133 new this year; 113 not renewed this year. We discussed lowering the dues or doing a 2-year renewal for $50. This could affect our budget. Ken suggests bringing back a nice club picnic so members see a benefit for their dues. Let’s wait to lower the dues to see how it goes. The picnic would include everyone, even those without cars. SOCIAL DIRECTOR: Craig, web master, came up with a place on the web site to sign up to get e-mail reminders from MOCSEM. Mike Rey asked Phil to come up with a year by year synopsis of MOCSEM history so Craig can update the records.

Mustang Memories
2009
Mustang Memories 2009! Well another show is in the books for us, and I am very happy to report that we were very successful once again! And this was really questioned after our change of venue to Rock Financial Showplace from Greenmead. I would like to start out by thanking all of you who have helped with the show, being from organizing, getting sponsors, working the show, or just being in total support! It all adds up and helps us be a great success year after year! The rain tried to put a damper on us again this year, as it does each and every year, but somehow we come out a success. I would also like to take a minute and say a big thank you to the Mustang Club of Mid Michigan for coming down to judge our MOCSEM cars again for us this year, this is a great tradition started by Neil a few years back, and I hope this will continue way into the future! As they also have an amazing club! Our editor has been working very hard to get this issue ready for print to all of you, I would also like to say a big thank you to Ken for all his amazing work on the Accelerator month after month, especially with these show editions! Mustang Memories is really coming into its own, and starting to get a ton of national attention. I would like to thank Joe King & John Clor from Ford Racing for really helping us get the word out about our show to many Mustang enthusiasts. We have amazing sponsors also! Classic Design Concepts, wow did you guys really step up and make our show amazing this year! A "Mustang Makeover" was given to a lucky winner, a Shaker system with Free install was donated, amongst many other items by CDC, So thank you so much to George & Rich & John and the rest of you at CDC.
MRT stays strong and consistent with MOCSEM and Mustang Memories, They brought out all of their amazing vehicles to the show, Thank you Scott,Lisa & Kim for everything as usual, you are always great to us! Jeff Schembri, owner of Oval Repair, came through and gave us a larger donation than normal, Thank you so much Jeff, also would like to thank Ron Willim from Blue Collar Performance (Watch for more from Blue Collar soon), Phil Madren from Grand Design Mat,Bill Brown Ford, Bob Wheat and Village Ford,National Parts Depot, Rick Leblanc and crew from Livernois Motorsports, John Savona and crew from Auto Alliance, Gerry Halliburda from Midway Golf, and all of our other sponsors who helped make our show a great success again in 2009. I would like to close by saying thank you to our whole club, for being an amazing and very active car club, you won’t find many clubs more active than us. This is why people are really joining ranks with MOCSEM, we are bordering on 400 members, and hopefully this time next year, I will be saying close to 500 members or more! Well thanks to all of you who continue to donate your time, energy, sweat & tears to us, as we could not do it all without all of you. Thanks again for making Mustang Memories 2009 a Great success! Thank You Mike Rey MOCSEM President
