• The Notebook released in 2004 as an American romantic drama film.

• All the hype and fan following certainly moved me to give it a try.

• I cringed at most of the scenes and was leftwondering how it managed such popularity. Either the world is going crazy or there’s something terriblywrong with me.

Summer love affair…

• It starts with an old guy narrating a story to an old woman from a notebook.

• Noah and Allie meet up at a local festival

• They fall in love with each other

• All’s going fine until the evil parents of Allie think Noah is trash and they leave the town..

Mr. Consistent

• Distraught, Noah writes Allie 365 letters a year. That is one letter everyday all round the calendar year!

• Yes, no joking.

No love lost for 7 years

• Even after staying apart for 7 years, and Allie getting engaged, they both fall in love with each other instantly when Allie visits Noah to say ‘Hi’.

When Fiance got friend-zoned..

• Allie’s renewed love for Noah overshadows her love for fiance.

• The fiance is all right with it and he even tells her to return to her ‘childhood love’.

• Poor lad is friend-zoned. But then again, all good guys have a similar fate…

Back to the future

• The couple seems to live happily ever after until the story comes to the future.

• The old couple is Noah and Allie as Allie is suffering from Dementia

• It ends with the couple dying on the same bed
