Agreement on Norway’s climate policy
Most important (2007):• Carbon neutrality by 2030. This means Norway would have t
o reduce emissions by the equivalent of 100% of its own emissions
• 2/3 of reductions to happen nationally• By 2020, 12 % reduction compared to 1990-emissions2012:• Keep EV-incentives until 2018 or 50.000 vehicles• Maximum 85 g/km from new cars on average by 2020
7
Why BEV incentive scheme and success?
• Climate emissions• Own production of EVs 1990-2011.• The car tax system• The consumers• Collective support• Clean energy
8
Number of registred BEVs
9
• BEVs = 12,7 % of total car sale in 2014• Total: 41051 BEVs + 2391 PHEVs

Political changes?
• No change for BEVs in 2014-budget, but less taxes for PHEVs• Politicans from most parties: BEVs should always compete in
relation to gasoline and diesel vehicles.• Review of the norwegian car taxes ready middle of May.
