PatchView+ is the industry’s first IIM solution to truly support mixed interconnect, cross-connect and combined topologies, as well as combined copper and fiber cabling. PatchView+ supports future Ethernet protocols (including 1/10/40/100 Gbps over copper and fiber respectively).

PatchView+ requires Zero U of rack space to support an unlimited number of ports, which means major reduction in the number of panels inside the rack and reduced power, cooling and space consumption. Fewer components also mean fewer points of failure.

A Comprehensive Real-Time View of the Entire Network Infrastructure

The IP Discovery Module creates a visual map of the complete network that is updated in real-time: from building and floor level, down to cabinet, rack, device and port level. The map includes device location, IP and MAC address, host name and type, as well as precise links between devices, switches and ports.

The link information is then gathered by the XpedITe AIM Module that uses it to provide various services such as mapping the network, alerts, reports and more.

This functionality is achieved with the PatchView+ patented Smart ID Key that resides in the switch port and stores the link information.

The PatchView+ patented technology provides a designated ID number to every IP active equipment port located in the IT cabinets.

This enables to identify and track any patching changes made to the network, regardless of vendor or connection methodology (through support for RJ-45, LC or MPO connector interface).

Ensuring Full Utilization of AssetsSometimes a single AIM function deployed once can save the organization more than the total investment in AIM.

A large international university deploying PatchView+ ran the automated device-tracking feature that discovers lost or “orphaned” equipment.

As a result they discovered that 40% of their switch-ports were not being used: an array of hundreds of switches costing over $500,000 was not being fully utilized.

PatchView+ Hardware supports cross-connect and interconnect network topologies, as well as copper, fiber and mixed solutions rated at 10 Gbps or 40/1000 Gbps, requiring 0U (Zero U) of rack space for an unlimited number of ports.

Automatic Detection of IP Assets and Assignment – XpedITe Patchview+ automatically discover all IP devices in the network including;

PCs, IP phones, printers, switches and other IP equipment and assign their locations, down to the exact room and cubicle, in real time.

Device information - XpedITe Patchview+ provides information about the MAC id, IP and Host Name of the IP devices connected to

the network.

Automatic tracing – XpedITe Patchview+ detect devices and also track the devices when they move from one location to another in

real time.

Complete link information - XpedITe Patchview+ provides end to end link information (from switch port up to the end device) in

Graphical View - XpedITe Patchview+ allow to work with floor plans and support any floor diagrams in different formats helps to

identify geographical locations of each asset in the entire network down to each room, hall, cubicle and desk in the enterprise. The

connectivity links between buildings, floors, racks can also be seen in a graphical links.

3D view of Racks - XpedITe Patchview+ provides 3 Dimensional view of racks and cabinets allowing user to see components from the

rear side, left and right side, top etc.

GIS - XpedITe Patchview+ provides Geographic information (GIS) of customer location and premises with Google maps and baidu to

see customer information like buildings and its location.

Enhanced Security – XpedITe Patchview+ helps to identify between unauthorized and authorized changes on the network connectivity

and send alerts accordingly.

Power down time - In case any changes are made to the network (patching) during a planned (power) down time, XpedITe Patchview+

register and report the changes and update the system.
